SENSORY FRIENDLY NUTCRACKER PERFORMANCE

San Francisco Ballet is delighted to present its 4th annual Sensory Friendly Performance of Nutcracker on Sunday, December 28 at 11 am. This full-length performance will provide a relaxed environment for children and adults of all abilities to experience this holiday favorite in a safe and comfortable atmosphere.

In collaboration with our community partners from Autism Society San Francisco Bay Area, SF Ballet has made special accommodations to the performance and theater-going experience to make neurodiverse audiences feel welcome to experience Nutcracker in a supportive and accepting environment.

We’re thrilled to announce our brand new Adaptive Dance Class, created especially for dancers with mild to moderate special needs. 💕

Do you have a dancer — or know someone — who would love a class like this? Help us spread the word!

This class focuses on easy, guided movement to upbeat and fun music, creating a joyful, inclusive environment where every dancer can shine! ✨

💃 Class Details:
🗓 Starts: November 3, 2025 — Mondays | 4:15–4:45 PM (30 minutes)
📍 Location: Coastside Dance School – Pacifica Studio
👧 Who: Dancers with mild to moderate special needs

🎶 What to Expect:
✨ Easy movement and fun, follow-the-instructor routines
✨ Positive, supportive class atmosphere
✨ No uniform or shoes required (perfect for dancers with sensory sensitivities)
✨ One adult may assist their dancer during class

Superfest time!

We’re writing to help spread the word about an exciting opportunity for escaping into disability and culture through film. For more than 35 years, Superfest Disability Film Festival has celebrated cutting-edge cinema that portrays disability through a diverse, complex, unabashed and engaging lens, the longest-running festival of its kind. The San Francisco Disability Cultural Center — a space designed by our disabled community for our disabled community, is proud to host Superfest this year.

We will have in-person, hybrid, and virtual offerings Thursday October 16th through Sunday October 19th. In-person events will take place at the San Francisco Disability Cultural Center, located at 165 Grove Street (https://disabilityculturalcenter.org/visit/). All of the films will be available 24/7 on Vimeo through the whole festival weekend.
