An eco-womanist abolitionist, mental health equity innovator, and healing justice practitioner, AW’s leadership is rooted in ancestral knowledge, culturally restorative care, and a bold vision for collective healing.
Through the Root Wellness Center, RCC’s sister non-profit, she’s building a world where our communities can thrive in the absence of carceral systems. Through a unique combination of trauma-responsive programming, abolitionist care practices, and culturally grounded mental health interventions, RWC is redefining how marginalized communities access healing, and receive health care.
This fellowship will support her continued leadership development and resource the next phase of the Root Wellness Center’s growth, from a rising movement to a deeply rooted institution.
