Full Job Description

· Work with the Hearing Care Provider to provide quality care and aftercare of dispensing services such as hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, and educating hearing aid users on daily device use and care instructions.

· Perform checks on hearing aids and other amplification devices, including but not limited to troubleshooting, conducting repairs to hearing aids, creating earmolds, and cleaning hearing aids.

· Partner with the Hearing Care Provider to drive sales and key business metrics through daily clinic huddles, active schedule management, confirmation calls, and 3rd party referrals.

· Exhibit friendly and courteous behavior in all patient interactions. Continuously build rapport and develop patient relationships.

· Support the Hearing Care Provider in recording patient outcome notes in company patient record database.

· Promote and uphold HearingLife’s Core Values: we create trust, we are team players, we apply a can-do attitude, we create innovative solutions.

Licensing Requirements:

· Maintain an active Hearing Aid Dispensing License in accordance with state requirements.

· Maintain continuing education requirements based on state requirements.

“Within three years of being diagnosed with hearing loss, older adults with hearing aids have an 18 percent lower risk of developing dementia, 11 percent lower risk of depression or anxiety and a 13 percent lower risk of falling-related injuries.”

The reasearch also goes on to explain: “People who experience hearing loss interact with others less and can lose independence, which in turn provides less brain stimulation. This cuts nerve impulses from the ear to the brain, contributing to a loss of cognitive ability. That may ultimately contribute to dementia.”
