Among all the beautiful people I’ve met in Australia, I had the pleasure to meet the lovely couple Mimma and Gianni. We met during their vacation on Green Island, on the Great Barrier Reef, where I was working at that time 🏝💚 We kept in contact since then and Mimma, travel blogger, wrote an article on me 🥰 If you would like to have a look here is the link: https://mediaeviaggi.it/il-sito-di-ricette-vegane-di-paola/

Also please have a look at her travel blog ✈️ where she shared so many interesting facts and wonderful places she visited and which you might want to visit too once this situation gets sorted: https://mediaeviaggi.it/ 🌸💫

PICKY CHICKPEA OFFICIAL WEBSITE IS LIVE
Hello glowesome people! ☀️ Exciting news! 🎉
I am so delighted to announce Picky Chickpea Website has just been launched and I truly love it! 🎊

I couldn't be happier today; a lot of work is still in progress but this marks a new mind-blowing beginning.

Being constantly supported by this fantastic community is a privilege and it’s an honour to share this excitement with you all today!
For the new ones, thank you for being here, I’m Paola the creator behind Picky Chickpea. 💁🏻‍♀️🌱

In 2016, while living in Australia, I made my choice towards a vegetarian lifestyle.
About two years later, in February 2018, I transitioned to plant-based.
This decision changed my life, for the better of course, this is why I’ve decided to share my journey with you and I hope to inspire and support someone out there!

Veganism means embracing a lifestyle that attempts to exclude all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty as much as possible.

Nobody can be a perfect vegan as we live in a non-vegan world but we can certainly do our best and my hope is that future generations won’t even know the word vegan exists as it will be the only existing reality.
Picky Chickpea is the ethical friendly choice that creates plant-based recipes for healthy minded people. 🌿

Whether you are curious or you have already transitioned to plant-based, Picky Chickpea made her mission to inspire and support you through your vegan journey with nutritious and delicious recipes.

I hope you find my place welcoming and inspiring. ✨

HEALTHY AND TASTY PLANT MYLK (HOMEMADE) (DF)
Happy Monday everyone! ☀️
You might have noticed I haven't been very active these days. There is something exciting coming up soon and I can't wait to share it with you! 💚Stay tuned! 😜

We are so lucky to have endless plant-based alternatives and I always love experimenting with new ones at home! 🥛
I've already shared "H**p Milk" in one of my previous posts, there are so many options out there, so make sure you try them all before you stick with your favourite one! 🌱

Hazelnut Mylk:
1 cup of hazelnuts
3 cups of water

Method:
Soak the hezelnuts overnight (12 hours). Rinse, strain and throw them in a blender. Add water and sweetener if you like and blend everything together until smooth. In a bowl, place the nut milk bag, pour the blended mix into the bag and squeeze gently. Store the homemade milk in the fridge for up to 2/3 days.

Sunflower Mylk:
1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
2 cups of water

Method:
Soak the sunflower seeds overnight (12 hours). Rinse, strain and throw them in a blender. Add water and sweetener if you like and blend everything together until smooth. In a bowl, place the nut milk bag, pour the blended mix into the bag and squeeze gently. Store the homemade milk in the fridge for up to 2 days.

H**p Mylk:
1/2 cup of hulled h**p seeds
3 cups of water

Method:
If using hulled h**p seeds they don't need to be soaked. Simply throw them in a blender and add water and sweetener if you like. Blend everything together until smooth. In a bowl, place the nut milk bag, pour the blended mix into the bag and squeeze gently. Store the homemade milk in the fridge for up to 2/3 days.

Note 👉🏻 once the liquid passed through, save the pulp left in your bag (from any type of mylk you make) for your bakings or for raw bars which are delicious and very easy to make!

Have a glowesome week ahead! 🌿

HOMEGROWN FRESH PRODUCE
"I grow plants for many reasons: to please my soul, to challenge the elements or to challenge my patience, for novelty, or for nostalgia, but mostly for the joy in seeing them grow." cit

Since I have been enjoying gardening a lot this year, I thought I'd share some pictures with you. 🪴

It's pleasing to see your veggies growing and enjoy them at their freshest, organic and km 0.

I still have so much to learn, but I am very happy with the results. I am looking forward to harvesting the rest 👩🏻‍🌾
Stay tuned for another update 🌱

The pearl tomatoes (tiny like redcurrant berries) and okras are from the seeds sent me, I can't wait to create some delicious recipes with these gems.

Swipe all to see part of my produce.

What's your favourite part of growing your own veggies? 🥒🍅🥬🌼
