I was talking about Strength vs Power today to my workout group this morning as we were doing a power-building workout.
Which is a different workout from our strength building sessions.
(I couldn't go into detail as there was a LOT of counting to do!)
This is the difference:
Strength is how MUCH force you can produce.
Power is how FAST you can produce that force.
A simple way to see it:
Strength = lifting a heavy suitcase off the floor. Slow but solid.
Power = lifting that suitcase quickly
We lose power fast as we age.
