XMAS 2024

The Christmas that started at home with my gorgeous two little girls and ended up in hospital again with little Elm on a feeding tube. So grateful for my sister coming with me, sleeping in a chair and bringing all the silly so I could actually laugh through the most horrendous experience.

So grateful for those moments at home opening presents with my girls before life got serious again.

Also the Christmas I got signed off to tube feed at home so I could bring my baby home and make sure she could eat. I don’t think ever thought she’d be waking every 2-3 hours with me in my home in the lakes to set up a load of equipment to tube feed.

So grateful for family right now I can’t even tell you.

CATCH UP

It’s safe to say I’ve been pretty rubbish with updating my personal Instagram.Any spare second I have has been spent heavily on my business accounts. However I have been spending heaps of quality family time too and have so many gorgeous photos of the past few months. Here are just a few special moments I wanted to share:-

1. A photo at a good friend of ours wedding in Somerset. Thank you my gorgeous friend for making me feel so beautiful when I was so heavily pregnant.
2. Our gorgeous little wren wearing her ‘Big Sister’ Jacket our a mini baby shower down South.
3. Me and the gorgeous .mcculloch herself at said mini baby shower. Typically making me look like a giant 🙈
4. A very significant photo of .houston.75 sleeping on a cold floor of the hospital beside my bed whilst I’m in labour 5 weeks prematurely with our baby Elm. That hospital trip was worst than I even imagined with the coercion and abusive behaviour from some of the hospital staff and I’m so grateful you were my advocate.
5. Our two precious daughter’s toes.Mostly because we couldn’t get a photo of their faces together where they both looked happy 😂
6. My sweet baby niece meeting her littlest cousin.
7. 3 cousins walking to see the chickens whilst visiting us in the Lakes ❤️
8. Baby Elm’s first night sleeping in the campervan. Many more of those to come!

World Breastfeeding Week

Here’s to all the amazing mammas who could and couldn’t breastfeed their babies, the ones who would have given their right arm to feed their babies themselves but couldn’t for whatever reason, the ones who succeeded (even just for a few days), the ones who hooked themselves up to pumps just to increase their supply or enable themselves to go back to work. Here’s to all the mums who have endured countless sleepless nights due to ‘cluster’ feeding, the ones who felt like a failure because they just couldn’t get that latch right. Here’s to all the mums who pumped tirelessly and then dropped that precious breast milk on the floor because they were so tired (that’s the worst). Here’s to all the mums whose b***s have been bitten, stretched and sagged irreversibly.

They say breast feeding is the most beautiful and natural thing in the world. Well it absolutely can be and I have loved being able to feed my babies as much as I could but it absolutely has not been without MANY challenges.

Mammas… you are incredible!!!

Introducing our little Elm Spring Houston…

Some of you may know that we lost Bruce’s Dad the week we found out we were pregnant. A bitter sweet time for us for sure. The Old English Elm tree was one of Bruce’s Dads favourite trees and now are very rare to find in the UK.

It seemed a perfect name for this little girl 🌳

Arriving at 35 weeks in her own super dramatic way. This little girl decided she was ready and strong enough to be Earth side already (despite many doctor’s opinions). So here we are a family of 4 and feeling super grateful ❤️ here’s to many more adventures with our TWO daughters 🥹

Well that pregnancy was a hell of a lot shorter than I thought it was going to be. I was preparing for an early arrival as Wren also surprised us 3 weeks early, but never did I think my waters would go 5 weeks early.

So chuffed I squeezed in this shoot with the gorgeous only 1 week before she arrived!
