Project FREEDOM is an initiative of the State of Alabama and is dedicated to reducing the number of opioid-related deaths in the state and to increase awareness of the dangers of opioids. ject FREEDOM is focusing on 14 rural Alabama counties – Blount, Cullman, Etowah, Fayette, Franklin, Jackson, Lawrence, Marion, Marshall, Morgan, St. It is also focusing on two urban counties – Jefferson and Tuscaloosa.
