Project FREEDOM Project Freedom is dedicated to increasing awareness of Alabama's Good Samaritan Laws, educating the Clair, Shelby, Walker and Winston.

Project FREEDOM is an initiative of the State of Alabama and is dedicated to reducing the number of opioid-related deaths in the state and to increase awareness of the dangers of opioids. It is committed to increasing awareness of Alabama’s Good Samaritan Laws, educating the public on the dangers of prescription and non-prescription opioids; and educating & training First Responders on Narcan. Project FREEDOM is focusing on 14 rural Alabama counties – Blount, Cullman, Etowah, Fayette, Franklin, Jackson, Lawrence, Marion, Marshall, Morgan, St. It is also focusing on two urban counties – Jefferson and Tuscaloosa.
