It’s is hard to believe that our dear friend P Khurrrana has left us so suddenly! He was the most positive and ever smiling person I had met and his laughter was infectious!
Though we would meet very often, last time I met him was on this 10th and he phoned me again next evening while I was away to Delhi for an event. I came out of meeting and we spoke for almost half an hour. He was jovial and happy as always and wanted us to see him in his new house. I promised to him that I would come to see his new house after I am back from my overseas trip on 23rd. I will keep my promise on my return but will miss your presence dear friend! My regards to Poonam Ji, and family!🙏🙏

Threads and fillers are both commonly used in facial rejuvenation to address various signs of aging and restore a more youthful appearance as the improved understanding of these procedures has shown that they work best in combination with each other.

Threads are thin, medical-grade sutures that are inserted under the skin to lift and tighten sagging skin like PDO (polydioxanone) and longer lasting PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) threads, which can be used for different purposes. These threads are typically inserted into the skin using a needle or cannula, and the body's natural healing process causes the threads to stimulate collagen production, resulting in a lifting and tightening effect. The threads themselves eventually dissolve, but the collagen that is produced helps to maintain the lifting and tightening effect for an extended period.

Fillers, on the other hand, are injectable substances that are used to add volume and restore a youthful appearance to the face that has lost volume with age. The most commonly used fillers are hyaluronic acid fillers. When injected into the skin, fillers can add volume to sunken areas, smooth out wrinkles and lines, and enhance facial contours. Fillers can also stimulate collagen production, further enhancing the skin's natural rejuvenation process.

The specific role of threads and fillers in facial rejuvenation depends on the individual's specific needs and goals. A trained practitioner can assess the patient's facial needs and recommend the best approach for achieving the desired outcome. Often, a combination of threads and fillers may be used for a comprehensive and natural-looking facial rejuvenation.

For jawline enhancement in men, a filler with a higher viscosity or density may be preferred to create a more sculpted and defined look. The injector may also choose a filler with a longer duration to provide longer-lasting results.

Juvederm Volux is a popular choice of filler for male jawline enhancement due to its unique rheology. It is a high-density hyaluronic acid (HA) filler that is specifically designed for volumizing and contouring the chin and jawline area.

The rheology of Juvederm Volux is well-suited for jawline enhancement in men, as it has a high viscosity and elasticity. This means that it can provide a more sculpted and defined look to the jawline, with minimal spreading or migration.

Juvederm Volux also has a longer duration than some other HA fillers, which can be an advantage for patients seeking longer-lasting results. It is clinically proven to last up to 2 years in the chin and jawline area, making it a popular choice for men who want to enhance their facial features for an extended period.

Ultimately, the choice of filler and its rheology will depend on the patient's individual needs and goals, as well as the injector's experience and expertise. It is important to consult with a qualified and experienced injector to determine the best treatment plan based on individual needs and goals.

Jawline and chin fillers for men are a popular cosmetic treatment and they can be used to address a number of concerns related to the jawline and chin. Here are some common indications for jawline fillers for men:

Weak or receding chin: Men with a weak or receding chin may benefit from jawline fillers to enhance their profile and create a more defined chin.

Lack of jawline definition: Men who feel that their jawline lacks definition or looks too soft or rounded may benefit from jawline fillers to create a more chiseled and masculine appearance.

Aging and volume loss: As men age, they may experience a loss of volume in the jawline, which can contribute to sagging skin and a less defined appearance. Jawline fillers can help to restore volume and provide a more youthful look.

Asymmetry: Men who have an uneven or asymmetrical jawline may benefit from jawline fillers to create a more balanced and symmetrical appearance.

Masculinization: Some men may choose to undergo jawline filler treatment to achieve a more masculine or angular appearance, particularly if they feel that their face looks too soft or feminine.

Overall, jawline fillers can be a versatile and effective option for men looking to enhance their facial features and achieve a more defined and masculine appearance. It is important to consult with a qualified and experienced injector to determine the best treatment plan based on individual needs and goals.

Slight under correction of tear trough with filler is a technique used to avoid bulging & Tyndall effect, which are potential side effects of tear trough filler treatment.

When tear trough filler is injected into the skin, it can sometimes create bulging or puffiness if too much filler is used or if it is injected too close to the surface of the skin. This can give an unnatural appearance and defeat the purpose of the treatment, which is to create a smooth, youthful look.

Tyndall effect is another potential side effect of tear trough filler treatment, which occurs when the filler is injected too superficially and creates a bluish or greenish tint under the skin.

By under-correcting the tear trough with filler, the injector purposely injects less filler than would typically be used, ensuring that the filler settles deeper into the tissue and does not cause bulging or puffiness. This technique can also help to avoid the Tyndall effect by ensuring that the filler is not injected too close to the surface of the skin.

By carefully balancing the amount of filler used and the depth at which it is injected, under correction can help achieve natural-looking results while minimizing the risk of undesirable side effects. It is important to note that under-correction does not mean that the results will be less effective; it simply means that the injector is taking a more conservative approach to ensure the best possible outcome.

24/03/2023

The appearance of tear troughs or under-eye bags at an early age in people of Indian and Middle Eastern descent can be attributed to various factors including genetics, bone structure, and facial anatomy.

Firstly, the structure of the face in these populations may contribute to the appearance of tear troughs. For example, people of Indian and Middle Eastern descent may have a flatter midface, a shallower orbit, and thinner skin in the under-eye area. These facial features can cause the lower eyelid to appear more sunken, creating the illusion of dark circles or under-eye bags.

Secondly, genetics can play a role in the development of tear troughs. Research has shown that some individuals may have a genetic predisposition to developing under-eye bags or dark circles. Additionally, factors such as skin pigmentation and collagen production can also be influenced by genetics, which can affect the appearance of the under-eye area.

Finally, lifestyle factors such as lack of sleep, stress, and poor diet can exacerbate the appearance of tear troughs in people of all ethnicities. However, due to the thin skin and bone structure in the under-eye area of people of Indian and Middle Eastern descent, these lifestyle factors may have a more noticeable effect on the appearance of tear troughs.

Overall, tear troughs can be influenced by a variety of factors including genetics, facial anatomy, and lifestyle factors, and may appear more prominent in people of Indian and Middle Eastern descent due to their unique facial features.

Fillers for tear troughs or under eye hollows in young persons - The tear trough is a groove that runs from the inner corner of the eye, down and across the cheek. As the tear trough deepens it makes us look tired and older.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are a popular option for treating tear troughs in younger females who are experiencing early signs of aging or who have a genetic predisposition to deep tear troughs.

HA fillers can be injected into the tear trough area to fill in the hollow space and smooth out the area. The procedure is quick and relatively painless, with little to no downtime. The results of tear trough fillers by are shown in the pictures here.

It's important to choose a qualified and experienced injector who is trained in tear trough injections, as the area is delicate and requires a skilled hand. It's also important to note that the results of tear trough fillers are not permanent and may require touch-ups every 6-12 months.

It's also worth noting that tear trough fillers may not be suitable for everyone, and a consultation with a qualified injector can help determine if this is the right treatment option for you.

Botox for crow’s feet lines and smooth skin around the eyes- It is recommended to receive Botox injections for crow's feet lines every 3-4 months to maintain the desired effect. The number of units used for each side can vary based on individual factors such as skin thickness, muscle strength, and desired outcome. However, 12 units on each side is a commonly used starting dose for crow's feet lines. It is important to consult with a licensed injector to determine the appropriate amount for your individual needs.

The appropriate dose of Botox for crow's feet lines depends on several factors, including the severity of the wrinkles, the individual's muscle strength, and the desired outcome. A typical dose for crow's feet ranges from 12 to 24 units per side, but this can vary based on the individual's specific needs.

It's important to note that Botox is a prescription medication that should only be administered by a licensed healthcare professional with experience in the administration of Botox. It's important to have a thorough consultation with a qualified healthcare professional to determine the appropriate dose and treatment plan for you. They will consider your specific needs and goals, as well as any potential risks or side effects.

In its original form, this article by was published on 26th Dec on her website and was published in the on 11th January with a sensational headline.
The author, as well as Daily Mail, gave the misleading impression that the fillers in her face were more than 20 years old. However, reading Alice's story puts the facts straight.
She received 10 ml of in her cheeks and undereye area, temples, chin, and jawline in 2018. This fact contradicts her claim that she did not get any filler in her tear trough after 2015. Her Youtube video of this session shows her tear trough getting injected. She received 0.6 ml filler in her lips in May 2019. This clearly shows that most of fillers in her face MRI were more recent than 20 years old, contrary to what the Daily mail headline screams.
Dr, who performed this MRI, suggests the appearance of increased filler volume more than the fillers injected might be because HA attracts water, so it appears as a larger volume on the scan. This factor could be explained by a property of fillers called the Swelling factor, described in detail by Steven Fagien in his research paper in 2018.
The swelling factor or Gel fluid uptake is the ability of the gel to expand as it binds water. The swelling factor data show that products with the lowest capacity to take up additional fluid were the nonanimal stabilized hyaluronic acid (2.7 to 2.8 ml/g) and Vycross (3.8 to 4.8 ml/g) products. Those with the greatest fluid uptake capacity were Belotero Balance (16.9 ml/g) and Restylane Fynesse (17.2 ml/g), as mentioned in the reasearch by Fagien at al in 2018.
It's important to realize that even though the longevity of filler will vary between individuals, and there may be traces or significant amounts of it present longer than we first thought, this doesn't change the recommendation for repeating treatments.' And this could be the logic for Dr., who ordered her MRI to check for the residual filler, chose to inject 7.2 ml of fillers again in Alice's face just recently after knowing fully well that she had 35 ml residual volume in her MRI one year back from previous treatments & 7.2 ml was injected laser year.
