In partnership with SDCOE, this presentation explores how screens are shaping how children think, feel, and connect—often in ways parents don’t realize. This session explores how technology impacts developing brains, mental health, and family communication, and offers practical tools to reduce digital stress, restore balance, and strengthen connection at home.

Open to teachers and parents/caregivers at California public and private schools. Register here: https://sdcoe.k12oms.org/eventdetail.php?id=275323

"Back in November, our research made it clear: it is not safe for kids and teens to use AI for mental health support. Children reported using AI for companionship 42% of the time. Just over a third of those chats included violent themes, and about half of those instances also involved sexual role-play." Source: Common Sense Media

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinicians: Join me at the 10th annual CICAMH conference: “Critical Solutions for Critical Issues: Reinstilling Hope & Connection in Youth Mental Health.”

This year, we have particularly critical topics that focuses on equipping providers with practical strategies to promote mental well-being in youth mental health.

Set at the beautiful University of San Diego campus, topics will include: building resilience in youth, fostering parent engagement in treatment for youth anxiety and ADHD, incorporating video games in therapy, pathological demand avoidance in autism spectrum disorder, and addressing va**ng in teens.

Our conference aims to provide participants with evidence-based tools and innovative strategies to foster hope, healing, and resilience in youth and their communities.
