Fresh off the Riverside Smithfield Hospital Community Open House this past weekend, we’re excited to share another big step in bringing more care closer to home.

Beginning Monday, December 15, our brand-new Riverside Health Care Center Smithfield at 1200 Benns Church Blvd. will open its doors for primary care, right down the road from the new hospital! 🏥➡️🏠

Whether you need routine check-ups, help managing chronic conditions, or a partner in lifelong wellness, our team is here for you. Thanks for letting us grow with this incredible community! 💚

✨ What an unforgettable day at our Community Open House event! 💚✨

This past weekend, we had the privilege of welcoming our community for an exclusive first look inside the brand-new Riverside Smithfield Hospital and the Jamison-Longford Medical Office Building! 🏥🌟

Guests explored key clinical spaces, met Riverside team members, collected stickers along the self-guided passport tour, and the kids enjoyed hands-on activities at our Teddy Bear Clinic. The energy and excitement were felt in every hallway and we’re thrilled to be one step closer to opening our doors to the community in early January 2026! 🙌

A milestone worth celebrating as we get closer to opening our doors in early January 2026. 💚✨

Yesterday’s ribbon-cutting event brought together team members, neighbors, local and state leaders, including Governor Glenn Youngkin, who joined us to mark this exciting moment! Guests made their way through the hospital on guided tours, collecting stamps in their event hospital passports along the way. Each passport offered a fun, interactive way to learn about our new clinical spaces, technology, and care teams.

Thank you to everyone, team members, neighbors, local leaders, and partners, who joined us for this special moment. We’re excited to bring even more compassionate, advanced care closer to home for our community. 💚

✨ Riverside Health Team Member’s Got a Sneak Peek ✨

Yesterday, we had the incredible privilege of giving a first look of our brand-new hospital to team members across Riverside Health and the excitement was absolutely contagious! It was an unforgettable day as they explored the state-of-the-art spaces that will soon deliver world-class care to the Isle of Wight community when we officially open in January 2026. 🌟

From guided passport tours to meaningful conversations with fellow team members, the event gave us a deeper look into all the innovative features our new hospital will offer. We’re so proud to be part of building a facility that will truly serve as a cornerstone of care for our patients and families. 🙌

And now, it’s your turn! The Community Open House is happening this Sunday, December 7, from 1–4 PM. Don’t miss your chance to tour the hospital, learn about the services we’ll provide, and see firsthand what’s coming to Isle of Wight. 🎉

🌳 Can you spot what’s new?

Our Riverside tree logo sign is officially in place and it looks incredible at the front of our hospital. The main entry canopy signage install is also officially complete, marking another big moment as we prepare to open our doors in early January 2026.

New, state-of-the-art imaging equipment is being installed throughout our imaging department this week.

✅ Mammography equipment – advanced breast imaging
✅ DEXA scan equipment – bone density and body composition
✅ SPECT-CT equipment – combines two powerful imaging techniques
✅ CT scan equipment – detailed cross-sectional X-ray images
✅ Fluoroscopy equipment – real-time imaging of organs and tissues

Every new installation brings us closer to opening our doors and providing exceptional care, right here in our community. 💚
