Hot rule: Leave something on your plate 🔥🍽
How many of you heard that you had to finish your plate growing up? That leaving something on your plate was wasteful, disrespectful? Denied permission to leave till your plate was clean?
This can have negative, long-lasting impacts on people’s relationship with food that can have a lifetime. It teaches us to ignore our body when it tells us it feels full. So how do we overcome this?
*Leave something on your plate!!* We’re not talking half the plate, merely something. This will help gradually change our habit and pay more attention to how our body feels. Unlearn that it’s wrong to throw out some leftovers, unlearn that it’s wasteful. It might be hard initially, but it will ultimately lead to more conscious eating and you feeling in tune with how your body feels.
