The last few years, our work has increased so much, and is so non-stop, it is hard to get on Facebook- be it to celebrate or ask for prayers. However, you all always find a way to help- even with my lack of post!
Today though, amid the mountain of donations of needed clothes, the house that needs cleaned, making Saturday dinner for our friends experiencing homelessness and planning for fellowship meals on Sunday, we were having a lot of folks in to warm up, and trying to bundle people up. We ended putting several people up at our house for the night, helped with someone getting to rehab, got another person with pneumonia into a hotel, visited with several mentally ill folks who don’t navigate well in warm weather, much less this cold, and took someone to a hospital.- It has been a heck of a day and we all are pooped-but not enough people are indoors.
I had to get on here to ask for prayers. It is sooo cold out there the last few days. If you have extra gloves, hats, blankets we could really use them.
Soon I will go to bed exhausted, along with the rest of our team…but I will not be freezing. It is hard to fall asleep worrying about our friends out there in tents. But I also know we have you all for friends! Please send prayers their way.. and gloves, if you have them! ❤️🙏🏼
