Connie A. joined the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital family in 1995 and has stayed for 30 years! Here, she talks about her career journey with Mark E. Manigan, RWJBarnabas Health President and CEO. Connie started out as a per diem team member in Patient Information, and during her time with us she's taken on roles of increasing responsibility, from lead receptionist to supervisor to manager, Guest Services. Congratulations to Angel Jimenez, Security Officer, on receiving the STAR (Special Treatment at Rahway) Award for October 2025.

An excerpt from his recommendation letter reads:

“Angel was eating his lunch in the cafeteria, as we all were. An older doctor was signing for his food and started to walk away. The salad fell out of the doctor’s hand, and it went all over the floor! Most people turned their heads, but Angel put down his own food and secured the area. He got down on his knees and picked up every piece of food!

This was the second time I saw Angel do such great things, helping people. He is so nice, kind and always respects his co-workers, especially the patients.”

“Rebecca is extremely kind and always has a smile on her face. She makes you feel at ease when you are feeling anxious and vulnerable. She is very competent, efficient, gentle and attentive to my needs which I greatly appreciate. I was in extreme pain needing a new hip and knees, but Rebecca made me feel less worried. She is a very special aide. She also popped into my room to check if I was okay or if I needed anything even though she was very busy.”
