Today is a very special day indeed! Can you feel it in the air? Today is November, 11, 2022. 11-11-22. (2+2+2022 / 2+2+2+2+2). We have five two's in today's date! This is a very powerful day of manifestation! With our Rune of the Date, we have AR. The fire, the phoenix reborn and ascending. AR is the twin and evolved, refined form of FA. Whereas FA is the primordial spark of existence, AR is the phoenix, or eagle rising above disorder!

In our Rune Cast for the day, we have BAR, which signifies birth, and Re-birth. But in order to be born again, you must be RIT (right). You must take correct action in order to move towards your re-birth, in AR--the rising and renewed phoenix. By taking correct action and experiencing your re-birth in BAR, you can then move on to your ultimate becoming represented in HAGAL--the Divine Union of the above and below--of Heaven and Earth.

Today is Friday (F***gsday) a day of the Goddesses! Honor and venerate the Divine Feminine today in Her many forms! If you are female, also remember to honor and venerate your divine self today! Please also remember to honor, pray, and venerate your Disir--your female ancestral line who still look after, worry, and fret over you!

"Of these I know this ninth:
if I am caught by the need
to save my ship at sea,
I quiet down the wind
on the wave
and I put the whole sea to sleep." (Havamal 154)

Today's dominant and ruling Rune is IS. This very special Rune is represented by a single, vertical line which represents our 'Icht'--our higher ego-self. As the Rune poem states, we can invoke IS to calm the waves of a stormy sea which batter our ship. Use IS to help you calm the stormy seas of the challenging situations that in matter (mother) often presents us.

The deeper, esoteric meaning of the word 'wave' in the IS Rune poem is related to the waves of thoughts in our mind. Fundamentally important for everyone on a noble, sacred path, the path of the Runes is to be able to have a calm mind and not allow random thoughts, waves of thoughts to crash against our 'ship' (us).

IS semantically shifted to the modern English word 'Ice'. Just as Ice can freeze anything, use IS to freeze the crashing waves of thoughts that consume your mind.

Use IS to freeze the negative and / or unproductive thought-waves that seek to disturb your peace.

Additionally, IS can be projected outward to help calm a situation or other people. Use the powerful Rune force of IS to help calm your brothers and sisters in their dark moments.

The highest interpration of today's fore-CAST is to understand yourself as the upright IS Rune. In solidarity, standing up, reaching up from the Earth to the Heavens. Cultivate your continual spiritual, psychological and emotional growth as you are having this physical experience in matter (mother).

"Of these I know this eighth,
that is among all is(most) useful to understand:
where hate grows among the war-leader's sons,
that I am able to fix up at once." (Havamal, 153)

NOT, the eighth Rune and Rune of fate and karma rules today. NOT is a very complex Rune as it deals with layers of meaning regarding the ancient Germanic concept of Karma and fate. The Germanic etymological roots of NOT ('noth') indicate 'need' and 'imminence.' It does not mean 'need' as in the modern English usage, but rather, gives us an understanding of our "compulsion of fate" and 'immenence' indicating that which should happen--based on that which has become and that which is becoming.

A simple, linguistic formula for understading the fate/karma complex is:

*That which has become + that which is becoming = that which should become*

Notice that the words 'past', 'present', and 'future' are not used--as these words represent human convention and construct of time. The human concept of time is arbitrary and a indeed a construct, which has no bearing on this infinite experience you are having.

We must learn to understand our fate and work with it. Understanding our fate requires us to go to the UR, origin of our states of "has become" and "is becoming" and working with it indicates taking RIT (right) action in order to influence the "that which should become" of our future.

Notice in the image displayed, that in today's Rune cast, we see NOT-RIT-FA. A simple interpretation and message from the Norns, our Fates, for today is that each of us must take the corrective action of RIT (right/correct) in order to help mend/heal that which has become--our 'past.' FA (help) also fell in today's cast and indicates that we are not in this alone! When we truly desire to walk the path of nobility, to take the "higher road" and live a live of purity, light, and love, we will receive help from the Divine! Additionally, our ancestors who have already passed on from matter/mother (the physical/material) also desire to help us. This time of the year is when the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds is at its thinnest. Make sure to pray, honor, and venerate your ancestors who love you, care for you, and will help you along your path!

If you have strife, hate, discord, etc. that you need to let go of, focus on that today. Invoke the NOT Rune to help you clean your karma and fate. Seek forgiveness of those you have wronged! Give forgiveness to those who have wronged you! "Cut the ties that bind."

After attending to your 'past' by cleaning it with love, forgiveness, and compassion, take RIT/right action today in order to influence your future--your "that which Should become."

Runes of Fates, Daily Reading: November 8, 2022

Runic Keywords of the day: Balance, success, overcoming, Karmic cleanup

Today's overall focus is on HAGAL and the equal union of Heaven and Earth within us. HAGAL is a Rune of protection and covering. The Hag-All, the Hedge-all. She is considered the Mother Rune as all other Rune shapes can be formed from Her.

As HAGAL has three forks focusing equally above and below, today, your focus should also be on the "as above so below, as within so without." Consider your current situation, your current fate or lot in life. Are you equally focused on having your "head in the clouds, and feet on the ground?"

TYR fell into the "that which is becoming" middle position, which is very appropriate as today is Tyr's day! NOT fell in the "that which has become" position and you would do well today to think about any past shortcomings, errors, and tensions or 'hate' with others. We must accept and work with the NOT/Need/Karma Rune! Work on your fate by "cleaning up your past.! Forgive and forget! "Cut the ties that bind." Do not be bound by past hate--either yours towards others or that of others towards you.

SOL/SIG has fallen twice today! Success is to be had today but you must also have knowledge, ruled by Love as indicated by the LAF Rune in the Rune Cube casting.

And since today is Tyrsday (Tuesday), remember that Tyr is a God of sacrifice and "lost causes." If you feel like you are stuck in a situation, invoke the power of Tyr into your life! The Tyr Rune, as the God Tyr can help you turn any situation around! We are reminded of Tyr's verse from the Havamal, the "Words of the High One:"

"I know the twelfth:
if I see up in a tree
a co**se in a noose, hanging;
Such as song I carve
and paint in Runes,
that the man descends
and speaks with me."

There are many levels of interpretation to the verses in the Holy Havamal, but relevant for today's reading of the Fates is that this day, Tyr'sday is your day to invoke the power of Tyr to turn around a "lost cause!"
