Happy spring equinox! 🌱🌸🪻 and Hear ye, hear ye: I have an announcement about a very special seasonal offering from myself and Taylore of coming up on Sunday, April 13 at .valley.farm . “Join us for a seasonal, experimental, and transdisciplinary workshop crafted to attune to and creatively engage with the cycles of this living earth. Facilitated by singer and ritualist Ell and community herbalist and botanist Taylore, we will explore the wheel of the year through song, gentle meditative work, medicine making, and herbalism with an ecological focus. Participants will have the opportunity to learn new and traditional songs, deepen into the season, learn about local ecology, explore herbal remedies for spring, and leave with their own custom herbal formula. All materials will be provided. This one-day offering is a teaser for a longer series starting on May 24 through the brand new Sapsucker School of Community Provisioning. Sliding scale $40-125.”

Hi dear people, I’m posting this to bring more attention to the survival fund for my friend and his beautiful family- his wife Hanan and their twins Asad and Joody. Mahmoud shared with me today that everyone where he is feels very scared because of the instability of the ceasefire agreement and President Tr*mp’s statements about “opening the gates of hell” on Gaza. No one knows what will happen next and in the meantime, this fundraiser shepherded by is their only source of income.

Please share and donate as you’re able and help Mahmoud and his family survive and know that they are not forgotten, that their lives are precious. Some information about what it’s like to work with me! 💆🌿🌀

My bodywork style is grounded, slow + deep, using mainly relaxation/Swedish massage, deep tissue, and myofascial release techniques, responsive to your body’s needs. I am a ritualist, artist + mystic as well as a bodyworker; my understanding of the body is as much energetic as material and my approach reflects that orientation. I hold your spirit in equal regard as your physicality- to me they are one and the same.

My office is a sacred space, magically held + protected. Clients absolutely do not need to share my spiritual orientation, however I am often a good fit for people who connect with that aspect of life in some way. I also work well with fellow q***r + trans people, creatives, and all manner of strange and sensitive folk.

My sessions are multi-sensory in a gentle way. I am a musician and curate massage soundscapes to evoke specific energies. I make my own medicinal herb-infused massage oils, and use heat packs, hot towels + herbal hydrosols for their therapeutic value and sensory enjoyment.

Grief, complexity + big questions are welcome on my table, in addition to whatever your physical body may hold. If you wish, we can incorporate gentle energetic and ritual tools into our work together.

Bring your joy, your pain, your big self. It is a privilege to get to know the wild, holy ecology that you are. 🖤✨🌊

💸 About my rates! 💸 My rates are comparable to other licensed massage therapy options in this area. They are set without the expectation of tips- what you see is what you pay! I no longer offer sliding scale in order to maintain clarity for clients and make my livelihood more sustainable. I deeply value and engage with mutual aid in other ways, such as fundraising, donating time and money, and unpaid care work outside of my professional space. My rates also reflect my years of experience in massage, ritual work, and other forms of care. 🤲

In the future I plan to offer a set number of deeply discounted appointments per month for low income community members, and hope to find many more ways to incorporate justice and reparations into my practice. I do currently accept some trades, so don’t hesitate to ask!

lots more info about my freshly reopened practice coming in the next few posts! 💙💆🤲 My darling new office is in the .parts.dance building, formerly known as Fusion, at downtown at 302 Columbia St NW. I share it with the magical , who you should follow and book for deeply caring and rad herbal consultation and medicine. Our building is ADA accessible, right by the water, and full of light and gorgeous art by and other locals. Come visit, catch a dance class, and care for your bod and soul with massage! some of the cute animals I’m babysitting at .valley.farm while my dear friends travel in Ireland. It’s been very grounding to spend the liminal days of midwinter in this Nisqually land, on the schedule of non human animals. I am gearing up for transitions and new things in 2025, some of which I’ll be sharing here soon. Wishing you gentleness in the transition back towards light, and deep roots for whatever may come. 🖤🌟
