Lupus hits us all in different ways. I've always considered it a disease designed by committee, one headed by Loki.

I picture a lull near the end of the meeting, all ideas expended, until Loki, leaning in the corner, smiles and says, "Hives."

A question for rheumatologists- why is it so difficult to find a rheumatologist willing to looks beyond bloodwork when diagnosing a disease (lupus) that often isn't reflected in bloodwork?

You have no idea how devastating it is to lose your diagnosis simply by changing doctors.

For those suffering under brain fog: over 10 years ago my neuro told me to take a cocktail of Magnesium, B Complex, and Vitamin D every day. I went from not knowing I was on the wrong st (even though I knew the names) to functioning fairly well. Of course, talk to your doc 1st!
