Remember that acorn squash likes to pop out every once in awhile. Dress it up with roasted beets, steamed cauliflower, pumpkin seeds, parsley and a maple dijon dressing and you have an warm earthy fall bowl.

Are you a lazy cook? Don't tell anyone but so am I.🤫

I'm always looking for ways to build flavor and not feel overwhelmed in the kitchen.

This homemade vegan stock recipe is so easy and you can add it to your greens, soups, beans and whatever else needs a rich, savory base.

And it's so good I also drink a cup or or two to keep my stomach happy.

And if you're finding hard to get motivated to cook, pre-order my upcoming e-guide 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯 and get a free coaching session with me. 🩷

Kitchen memories, bad and good, can stick with you forever.
When I was 13, I made some sort of apple dish from the Encyclopedia Britannica (yes, I’m that old😅). I was alone in the kitchen, struggling. When I took it out to the dinner table where my grandma and family sat, they took a bite and just stared at it. Not one word.

I never got over that feeling of failure.

Even when I cooked professionally and others loved my food, I still felt judged. It actually stopped me from cooking as much as I should.

I’ve had my own reasons for not showing up in the kitchen, but you might have yours. Maybe you’re too busy. Maybe being in the kitchen stirs up old feelings about weight, control, or self-sabotage. And so you'd rather not deal with it. Maybe it just feels like a burden when you want to be doing other things.

Looking back, I realize the kitchen isn’t waiting for us to be perfect. It’s just waiting for us to start again, no matter what phase of life we're in right now.

That’s why I’m creating 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙆𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙣 to help you rebuild trust with cooking in a way that feels doable, not overwhelming.

If you pre-order now, you’ll also get a free session with me where we’ll figure out what’s been blocking you and how to use your kitchen to start making healthier food again. Link in the comments.

Why does cooking sometimes feel like… ugh?You either don’t feel like cooking, or you’re too tired to think about it.The kitchen feels like one more chore.By the time you walk in there, you’re over it . And of course. Why wouldn't you be? You can only eat so much bagged kale, frozen vegetable...

Earlier today I showed you how I soak my beans.

Now I'm back to show you what comes next, using my most favorite kitchen tool.

I'm on a mission to help us reconnect to our kitchens, and there's no easier way to do that than with one of the most powerful and affordable foods around.

Do you have dried beans in your weekly rotation?
And if not… are you ready to start?
