I embrace the darkness, not as a void to be feared, but as the fertile soil from which true illumination springs. I am not afraid of the shadows that dance within me, nor those that cling to the hearts of others. For within those depths, I believe, lies the raw material of transformation.

Join me for a discussion on what it means to embrace the darkness within.

Deeply grateful for all your messages! 🙏

I’m eager to share my Himalayan trek & Kumbh Mela experiences, but first, I need time to integrate these profound moments. ✨

From solo mountain silence in the Himalayas to practicing with incredible yogis at Kumbh Mela, these journeys touched my soul in ways words can’t yet express. These stories aren’t just events; they’re seeds of wisdom needing time to root and grow within. 🌱 I’m exploring the ineffable, listening to my heart, and seeking the truest way to share these sacred gifts. Thank you for your patience as I journey inward. Your questions are held close, and I’ll share when the time is right. ❤️

My Indian odyssey began with a solitary trek through the majestic Himalayas, a time for deep introspection and communion with nature. I then sought solace in a snow-covered monastery, where silence reigned supreme and the divine whispered secrets on the wind.
Descending from the mountains, I found myself drop into the Rishikesh Yoga Festival, at my home away from home.
And in the New Year I was immersed in the vibrant energy of Mumbai. Reconnecting with dear friends, family, and fellow yogis, I was inspired by the city’s pulse – the music, the art, the shared dreams. These encounters ignited new projects and collaborations, a testament to the power of human connection.
Now, I embark on a pilgrimage to Varanasi, a city steeped in ancient wisdom. They say you only reach Varanasi when the devas (divine beings) call, and I feel a profound sense of alignment with this sacred city.
From the spiritual heart of India, I will journey to the Maha Kumbh Mela, the largest human gathering on Earth. This once-in-12 year confluence of yogis from across India holds the promise of reuniting with souls I haven’t seen since childhood.
This journey has been a testament to the interconnectedness of all beings and the enduring power of the human spirit. Stay tuned for updates as I hope to share adventures through Varanasi & Maha Kumbh Mela. Grateful for all the well wishes from across the globe - this has been a journey to my centre, my source. 🙏

For over 25 years, annual retreats to snow-locked monasteries in the Himalayas have been my sanctuary. Words often fail to capture the profound peace I find there.

Enveloped by the howling wind and blanketed by pristine snow, the monastery offers a timeless escape. The rhythmic chanting of monks and nuns creates a soothing counterpoint to the icy fury outside. Sunlight filters through frosted windows, casting long shadows that dance across polished wooden floors.

The air is crisp and invigorating, thick with the scent of pine. But the most profound experience is the silence. It’s not just the absence of sound, but a deep inner stillness that allows the mind to quiet. The constant chatter of thoughts fades, and a deeper, authentic self emerges.

During meditation, the mind explores its own depths, witnessing the rise and fall of thoughts and emotions with detached curiosity. Anxieties begin to dissipate, replaced by a quiet contentment. The world appears with renewed clarity, stripped of its illusions.

An Arahat friend wisely observed, “True silence is not the absence of sound, but the absence of inner turmoil.” His words resonated deeply. In this sacred space, I truly began to listen, not to the external world, but to the whispers of my soul.

To experience this solitude, join us on one of our Himalayan retreats in India or Nepal. Go to IYogaa for more info.

After weeks of solitude in the Himalayan, participated in the Rishikesh Yoga Festival. This was an incredibly powerful experience. Here’s what she’s had to say about it

Rishikesh: A Soul-Stirring Awakening
For three days, I was utterly immersed in the sacred embrace of the Rishikesh Yoga Festival at Parmarth Niketan. It was an honor beyond words to witness the profound wisdom of classical yoga unfold. Each branch – from the dynamic flow of Ashtanga to the precise focus of Hatha while the sacred Ganges flowed alongside - offered a unique path to self-discovery.

The atmosphere was electric yet tranquil, a harmonious blend of energy and peace. The practices were sublime, igniting a deeper understanding within me,

I have always known that I was a lifelong scholar of yoga, but at Rishikesh Yoga Festival the flame of my passion for teaching was fully ignited. This experience has left an indelible mark on my soul, a reminder of the profound power of yoga to transform lives.

I am totally inspired to share the transformative power of yoga with the world, guiding others on their own paths of self-discovery.

For other yoga teachers who want to experience the marvel of Yoga in its home I invite you to join me on a retreat for yoga teachers, so you too may find the heart of yoga touch your soul.

Sole mates for life’s journey.

2,008 - A year I found myself at a crossroad literally & figuratively. The figurative crossroad regarded my life path. The literal crossroad was in a little village called Dortmund in Germany. As I crossed this intersection I was drawn to a pair of peculiar boots. Purple, they were, a shade of royalty and mystery. I bought them on a whim, a spontaneous act of indulgence. Little did I know, these boots would become more than just footwear; they’d become my companions on countless Yoga journeys.

They’ve seen me through sun salutations on sun-kissed beaches, serene mountain retreats, and inspiring city walks. With each journey, they transformed, a silent testament to the transformative power of practice. The original purple faded, replaced by a golden hue, a symbol of enlightenment. Then came copper, a grounding energy, followed by bronze, a nod to ancient wisdom.

Now, they’ve settled into a muddy burgundy. A colour I wear often. For me this color is as rich and complex as the earth itself. It’s the color of blood, of life force. It’s the color of mud, of the ground we walk on. It’s the color of the depths of our being, the raw, unfiltered essence that lies beneath the surface.

These boots are more than just a pair of shoes. They’re a chronicle of my spiritual journey, a tangible reminder of the evolution of my soul. They’ve witnessed my growth, my struggles, and my triumphs. They’ve been there for it all.

And as I pull up my boots each morning, I feel a sense of gratitude and anticipation. For I know that with every step, I’m not just walking; I’m embarking on a sacred journey, one that leads me deeper into myself. Do you have a talisman that has accompanied you on lifes journey?

Sometimes, all you need is a quiet moment in nature to find your center. The Himalayan rainforest is my sanctuary, a place where I can truly be myself and connect with the natural world. The beauty of the forest, the energy of the mountains, and the peace of the river have filled my soul with joy and gratitude.

The wind whispers tales of ancient wisdom, carried on the backs of snow-capped peaks. I am wanderer of the ethereal plains and have spent my lifetime traversing the labyrinthine paths of the physical and spiritual realms. My heart, a compass, guides me towards the untamed wilderness, where the boundaries between the seen and unseen blur.

In the company of the sun-kissed mountains and the starlit nights, I have sought the wisdom of the logos, met the indigenous shamans who hold the keys to the cosmos. Their eyes, mirrors to the universe, reflect the ancient truths that resonate within the depths of my soul.

This year, a few childhood & hometown friends joined me on some of my adventures. Over the years I’ve had many friends tell me that they would love to experience journeys - so I finally said - “Come along”. And it was not easy. We ventured into the heart of the unknown - the Sumit’s of the Andes & Himalayas- where the air is thin and the spirit is boundless. Together, we witnessed the raw power of nature, the silent symphony of the wind, and the timeless dance of light and shadow as we trekked in the night.

For me, the universe is not a singular entity but a vast tapestry woven with infinite possibilities. Each thread, a different plane of existence, invites us to explore and expand our consciousness. Spirituality, to me, is the ultimate freedom, the liberation of the soul from the confines of the mundane.

As we trekked through the highest, most challenging terrains, we were not merely testing our physical limits but embarking on a spiritual odyssey. With every step, we shed layers of illusion, revealing the true nature of our being.

The cosmos is a grand stage, and we are the actors, playing our part in the cosmic drama. Let us embrace the adventure, the mystery, and the magic that surrounds us. Let us traverse the multiverse, exploring every facet of existence, and let us emerge as enlightened beings.

Over the past weeks, my retreatants & I embarked on not one, but two extraordinary journeys into the heart of Peru. Guided by the ancient spirits of Machu Picchu and the towering Ausangate mountain, we unfurled our yoga mats and delved deep into the soul of this magical land. ‍♀️

We traversed the Sacred Valley, bathed in the ethereal glow of the Andes, and connected with the pulse of the Amazon rainforest. Each step on this mystical path, each downward-facing dog amidst the emerald canopy, brought us closer to ourselves and the vibrant spirit of Peru.

The rain in Pisac cemetery whispered secrets of the past, and the starry nights above the Amazon revealed a universe waiting to be explored. Together, we unearthed the magic within, leaving footprints not just on the earth, but on the tapestry of our own souls.
