Wow! My Cancer Journey of radiation & Chemo started one year ago today. Next month will be my LAST month of Chemo cycles!! So quick breakdown
- 30 radiation treatments combined with 30 Chemo treatments
- approximately 2/3 hair loss (but is growing back with a little wave 🙂)
- numerous side effects (too many to list)
- steroids for 3 months (which caused a 35 lbs weight gain 😫)
- 12 months of oral Chemo cycles (5 days per month)
- decrease in seizures then increase, now back to decrease 😊
- many blood tests
- many MRI’s
- huge loss in strength but took one exercise program to help & starting the 2nd one tomorrow
- moved apartments (with Roger Miller)
- amazing trip to Ireland (with Leo Martin)
Overall: Timmy (the tumour) is the same size but they were able to stop the growth (which was the overall goal). Timmy didn’t shrink (but we knew that was a long shot). Seizures are a lot less. I am still here and still fighting so an all around WIN I say. Thank you to everyone who has stood by me this whole time, encouraged me and let me rant & rave when I needed too. ❤️❤️. Let’s see what the next year brings!
