What Happens in your Brain When You Doodle? 🖍️.ritual

One of my favorite things to do is to doodle curvy lines, leaves and flowers.🌿🌻 It's fun and relaxing. Most importantly, I have doodled my way out of negative thought patterns. It is an instant mood changer. And it's not just doodling or coloring. Any type of creative activity, especially in the form of visual art that engages my hands, mind and eyes to create shapes, colors and space could send me to a joyful state of mind which last for hours and hours.

These days we don't even need a pen and a piece of paper. There are a variety of mobile apps that allow us to calm our mind and create joyful experience. Even when we only have 5-10 minutes on the bus or during a quick coffee break. Here are some of our picks-coloring apps that have helped millions around the world to destress, flex our imaginations and nurture our creative and healthy mind :

Give yourself the space to fail.
Drop us a 🧡 if you think failure is also part of success 🌹.ritual

As we get older, we understand more and more the valuable lessons we've learnt from all the."mistakes" and setbacks in life.

They have taught me to:

🍓 Be more patient and set long-term goals
🍓 Be open minded and yet approach with caution when some seemingly great or "too good to be true" opportunities or individuals pop up
🍓 Be more resilient and bounce back quicker from a setback
🍓 Build a strong foundation forward
🍓 Examine my existing believe system and bias and how them limit my potential to grow
🍓 Force me to change my mindset and shift perspectives
🍓 Acknowledge my mistakes.
🍓 Land enterprise-level accounts at work (when no one believed we'd ever won these clients)
🍓 Cultivate quality relationships with a much smaller circle of friends
🍓 Having a plan B is perfectly okay
🍓 It's never too late✨

Who you are is not what you do! Drop us ❤️ if you agree. Comment below how you free yourself from the exhaustions of chasing after culturally accepted "success"?

Many of us identify ourselves with how we look, what we do for a living, what we own, the grades we have, the car we drive, the house we live in. We become frustrated, disappointed and embarrassed when we fail. We wish we had not invested all these months, days and hours. We wish we had made the "right choice", met the right people, taken the right steps in the first place. We blame ourselves and others for the setback(s); we focus too much about how others think of us. We withdraw, we retreat, we lost motivation, we quit.

Instead of giving up, how about we try a different approach?

Surrender the outcome :
💚 Focus on what you can control.
💙 Focus on your growth and what you can learn during the process
💚 Focus on what you can improve
💙 Focus on testing different processes
💚 Focus on building meaningful relationships instead of what you can gain from it
💙 Focus on taking baby steps and celebrate every small win
💚 Focus on listening to your instincts
💙 Focus on finding and trusting your inner power

Everyone who has have "succeeded" in life are in fact big failures. Setbacks can be temporary. And remember, certain things are just not meant to be, they can not be forced.

Have patience in all things and in yourself. Trust your ability to involve, your ability to learn from the process, and your ability to adapt to constant flux of this world.
Waiting / Patience has taught me many things :

🌼 Things can come in a very different order
🌿Be Creative but don't always try to skip the steps
🌼 It helps develop skills to overcome frustrations more quickly
🌿 It's okay to take a break and recharge myself
🌼 Gives me the opportunities to think more thoroughly and prevents me from repeating the mistakes
🌿 Be more Committed to the people and the things I truly care about

However, we can often find the true importance and true beauty of things in everyday interactions and common places.
Ask yourself:
🤍 What is so unique about your partner? (not his job, her beauty, the car he drives or her zip code...)
🤍 Has a stranger ever been kind to you? How did it make you feel?
🤍 Have you ever misunderstood someone's intention or been manipulated based on the way they look or your preconceived ideas of the world?
🤍 When was the last time you experience a sense of awe? What promoted this experience?

Yoga has taught me many things. One very important lesson is to "let go". Drop us a ❤️ if yoga or exercise has helped you improve your well-being!
🧡Let go of the fears that keep me stuck;
💛 Let go of self-doubts and replace it with self-confidence;
❤️ Let go of the preconceived ideas of what would harm me,
🧡 Let go of the voice of "I can't do it" and replace it with "Yes I can"!
💛 Let go of the past so I can be fully present.
❤️ Let go of the negative voice and be curious about how the future will unfold and who I will evolve to next.
