Dussehra is celebrated in the tenth day of Navratras in the month of Kartik.

It symbolises the Triumph of good over Evil. The end of negativity and evil within us, the prejudices, the hurt , and all that pulls us down.

Start afresh, herald new beginnings in whatever field , it could be your health, relations, emotional growth, financial abundance. Every situation in sadness , grief n pain has a lesson to teach . Dukha n Sukha are Mahaprasad, they only come to teach us a lesson .

Through wakefulness , Jagraon of our hidden wisdom, remove all ignorance. Not through ordinary efforts but proper adequate Adhyatmik effort is required .
I in most states of NorthIndia and western India, Dussehra is celebrated in honour of Lord Rama, while in many places in South India the festival is celebrated in honour of Maa Saraswati – the Hindu goddess of knowledge and arts.

➡️The changes in the seasons produces changes in the body humors Vata, Pitta & Kapha. The awareness of these changes helps one keep in touch with the flow of energy and external and internal environments.

At this time,the extreme heat of the summer gives way to fall, this is the season of Pitta .Hyperacidity skin rashes, headaches and burning of the soles of the feet .

This is the best time to detox in the body of all the toxins accumulated in the summer months.

✳️Cleanse it and prepare it for the next season.
✅Rest, Repair n Release!

➡️Using Natural therapies like E***a , Mud packs, Cold compresses , Massage,Exercise, Pranayama and light Yoga.

In diet , one can eat only when hungry, light nourishing foods , like moong dal khichadi , soups n lightly cooked vegetables. Use of cooling digestive spices like cumin, coriander , cinnamon, fennel is beneficial .

Cooling drinks like fennel n rock candy ( mishri water) soaked for a few hours. Lime water , coconut water can help hydrate n cleanse.

➡️With a change in season, the change is very evident in the environment we live in.

✅As human being it’s part of the same ecology, the body is greatly influenced by the external environment .

✳️If the body is unable to adapt to the stressors due to changes in specific traits of season, it may lead to Dosha Vaishamya, which may render the body highly susceptible to one or other kinds of disorders.

➡️Adaptations according to the changes , is the key for survival. Lifestyle diseases are a result of an inappropriate relationship of people with their environment .

➡️Rich in Omega 3,Plant protein, Iron, Zinc,Magnesium,Calcium ,Amino-acids,Fatty- acids, Fiber , Gluten-free . So much goodness packed in these delightful ladoos.

✅A must have for all 50 yrs n above. The depleting oils in the body can cause dryness and joint pains.

✳️Ingredients
Almonds -3/4 cup
Seedless dates -1 cup
Flaxseeds - 2 tbsp
Sesame seeds- 2 tbsp
Chia seeds - 2 tbsp
Amaranth ( Rajgira)- 2 tbsp
Muskmelon seeds -3 tbsp
Pumpkin seeds - 3 tbsp
Peanuts - 3 tbsp
Cardamom - 3-4
Cinnamon - 1” stick
Ghee - 2 tbsp

✳️Method :1) Steam the dates in a steamer or a double boiler pan for 5-7 mins till they are soft.
2) Dry roast the Nuts n Seeds separately .
3) Cool them and grind them coarsely , transfer to a big bowl.
4) To the above bowl add the softened dates and warm ghee , Carson n cinnamon powder and bring it together , add some more dates n ghee if required , Naje bite sized ladoos n store in the fridge as they become rancid fast.

✅Dosage - not more than one a day or every other day, enjoy them as a snack in between meals not as a sweet after meals. They are rich and satiate hunger , make an excellent snack to carry to work .
➡️Do include these in your diet and may be change the nuts to Pistachios, Walnuts , Pecans during winter.

➡️It’s the quality of food you are eating matters. Low-calorie foods that are processed are dreadful .

✳️Eating the right kind of food with enough Fiber is the key to digestive health.

✅ Food quality matters not the calories, you can eat a bowl of French fries or an avocado having same calories. Food has to be eaten fresh not packaged and it does not need any health labels.

✅Eating freshly cooked home-made simple preparations is the key, meal planning ahead can help . Cooking is an act of love.
