It's Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.

Here are the main symptoms of bowel cancer. Other health problems can cause similar symptoms – but it’s important to get them checked by a GP if you have any symptoms for 3 weeks or more.

As of the 1st October, practices in our network will be offering appointments at evenings and weekends. These will be offered to our patients through our usual appointment booking process.

Test kits are being sent out to age 56 and 58 yr olds now. Please do not call to request a test, it will be sent out automatically. When you receive your test, please complete asap and return by post. You will sent another test every 2 years until 74 yrs old.

Bowel screening has now been extended on Wirral to include anyone over the age of 56 yrs. If you are aged 56 - 60 yrs old, expect your first FIT test to arrive by post soon and please return it as soon as you can.Bowel screening in England is offered automatically every 2 yrs up until age 74 yrs. This is for asymptomatic patients, if you are concerned about any symptoms you may have please contact your GP.
