HESS Pak Dr. Khalid Masood is a renowned upper extremity surgeon of Pakistan. He is heading Hand and Upper Limb Surgery center situated in Lahore, Pakistan.

He did his fellowships in hand and upper limb reconstructive and micro-surgery from UK and USA. He also did his fellowship in upper extremity sports surgery and reconstruction of shoulder and Elbow from Belgium. He has vast experience in managing the complex trauma, deformities, tendon and nerve injuries. Brachial plexus and upper limb paralytic issues i.e. cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke and tetraplegia are frequently managed in his center. He is pioneer of advanced shoulder surgery in Pakistan. His practice includes management of sports injuries related to shoulder, elbow and wrist. Most of the cases are managed arthroscopically while some need open surgical reconstructive management. He has great interest in arthroplastic procedures of upper extremity especially of shoulder related to arthritis, trauma and tumor. His scientific work has been published and presented nationally and internationally with lots of appreciation.

🌍 International Collaboration in Pediatric Orthopedics 🌍

A highly successful 2-day international workshop on Upper Limb Congenital Anomalies was held on 8–9 September 2025 at the Children’s Hospital & University of Child Health Sciences, Lahore, in collaboration with PSSH and NCCHD Tokyo.

The workshop was hosted by Dr. Abdul Latif Shahid and featured distinguished faculty including:

🩺 Prof. Takehiko Takagi, MD, PhD (NCCHD, Tokyo)
