Hello everyone,

Longtime! Hope all of you are doing well. Wherever you maybe, I wish you well. Greetings from South Sudan.

It's me again who seems confused but is not. It's only that external forces are fighting my life and destiny. After I became well from illness, I dropedout of school and tried searching for a job here in South Sudan but I couldn't get any. I came to realize that I have no profession that's why it's hard for me to find a job easily. This has made me to grief silently as all ways seem closed. If only I hadn't fallen ill, I would have been in my fourth year by now at the college of medicine, University of Juba. Unfortunately, things didn't workout the way I thought they would.

Nevertheless, I am still knocking at your doors if you guys could still be willing to support my education. I need a profession in my life and it doesn't matter when I will achieve my dream, "better late than never." I know that many of you have despaired when I fell ill and I couldn't continue with my degree as planned. It was like I wasted the tuition fees you contributed then disappeared and reappeared but that's not the case, it was all due to the prolonged illness that robbed my future. Therefore, I still beg you to try me one more time. Yes, give me a second chance to give me glimpse of hope. So please, I still need funding to accomplish my medical education at the University of Juba. If trusting me has become hard on your side, you would fund my education through the United World College National Committee for South Sudan. Yes, all I need is to go to school and that's all.

Therefore, if anyone among you still has a heart of helping me with my education, please send me a message on Facebook or you can call me on mobile phone/WhatsApp on the number: +211927459855.

Thank you all for being generous. I hope to hear from you soon.

Kindly,
Likambu Isaac
Juba, South Sudan.

Peace be with you!

It has been so long(more than eleven months) I was unable to communicate to you. I strongly apologize for such inconsistence caused. I was hindered by an illness since Aprial last year until March this year. As a result, it was unfortunate that I couldn't continue with my studies at the College of Medicine, the University of Juba. However, I am feeling okay now by the grace of God.

Therefore, I have decided to withdraw from school for awhile. As such, I AM NOT ACCEPTING DONATIONS at the moment because I will not join school anytime soon, inrtead, I would be searching for a job

I would like you to know that I wholeheartedly thank you all so much for being members of "Fund a Medical Student." May the Almighty God bless all of you exceedingly aboundantly.

The LORD be with you!

Congratulations again!

I would like to inform all of you of the receipt of 10,000 SSP (South Sudanese Pounds) which is approximately $33.3 at a black market rate. This amount is received from Charles B. Data Alemi to support my medical education at the University of Juba.

Accountability will be done and the results will be posted on this page for our own convenience.

Now as we approach the beginning of the first semester of this academic year, I would like to request anyone who by the grace of God would like to extend donations towards the other expenses like transportation, breakfast, dinner, internet access, clean water, scholastic materials and others to try and send by the beginning of April or mid of April. When you are ready to send, please, inbox me first for more details.

I will continue to update you as more donations will be received in the near future.

Remember, there is no minimum of how much you may donate. I would appreciate anything at all that you would offer willingly. I know you also have battles to fight that need money.

God bless you all exceedingly abundantly.

Goodmorning from South Sudan!

I appreciate your intended commitment to donate money towards my medical education.

Therefore, as we approach March, when the first semester will begin, I would like to kindly request those who intend to extend donations towards my medical education at the University of Juba to try their best to start sending the donations earlier, probably within this month or early next month for earlier academic preparations.

When sending money from abroad, I would suggest you use either MoneyGram or Dahabshiil money transfer services. MoneyGram is found within many banks meanwhile Dahabshiil is an independent money transfer service with it's offices littered all over the world. But while using Dahabshiil, please could you make sure that the branch you are using is originally from Dubai so that we don't run the risk of losing money to unknown men. Dahabshill is Dubai founded business.

I suggest, you shouldn't use Western Union money transfer services because it's exchange rate to the local currency (South Sudanese Pounds) in South Sudan is extremely low. So it would be a waste of money.

Thank you once again for the generosity. "Blessed is the hand that giveth than the one that taketh."

God bless you exceedingly abundantly!

Urgent and Important Please!

Charles D. Alemi, one of the donors towards my Medical Education suggested importantly that I should come up with a list of the UpKeep Expenses categorising them into two; monthly expenses and termily expenses to give each one of us a clear figure of what will be estimated to be spent each month for the monthly expenses and each semester for the termly expenses Excluding (Not including) the tuition fees.

Therefore, to maintain trust throughout this academic journey, I shall hold fast to my integrity by being truthful and sincere in regard to all requests for donations towards my medical education.

Below are the estimated UpKeep Expenses categorized into two:

1). MONTHLY EXPENSES;
-Transport=7,000 SSP=$22.3
-Photocopy and Printing=5,000SSP=$16.7
-Breakfast=7,000SSP=$22.3
-Drinking water=5,000SSP=$16.7
-Washing soap=1,200SSP=$2.7
-Contribution towards my dinner and daily water at home=6,000=$20

Total Monthly Expenses(each month)=34,200SSP=$114

2). TERMILY EXPENSES
-Handouts/Study Notes=7,000SSP=$23.3
-Counter Exercise books (9 pieces)=9,000SSP=$30
-Plain papers for tests and assignments=1,500=$5
-Budget for health issues(in case of an abrupt sicknesses)=15,000SSP=$50

Total Termily Expenses=32,500SSP=$108.3

Brethren, these are the estimated expenses; monthly for monthly expenses and each term for termily expenses. It seems to me like we need more donations for expenses than the tuition fees. It's going to be challenging for sure but God is great.

I will be ready to answer any questions regarding expenses for my education.

Thank you so much for showing brotherly love towards a needy in giving not only him a brighter future but also the country in particular, Africa wide as the world in general.

God bless you! I hope to hear from you very soon.

Kindly,
Likambu Isaac

To whom it may concern/UWC Community

Dear Sir/Madam,

Ref: I am seeking for funding for my MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree at the University of Juba, South Sudan.

I am a United World College Alumnus, RCNUWC 2010. Going to Red Cross Nordic United World College in Norway in 2008 was a tremendous blessing and a big change in my life. I didn’t expect it but the Almighty God surprised me!

Therefore, the Lord guarded me throughout those years in Europe and I graduated with ease and my future seemed brighter than I thought. And going to Macalester college in the USA thereafter, made even every possibility in my life certain. I never knew Satan was working in secret to steal what God had for me in store. Before I could graduate from the USA, just one and a half years later, I became sick and the sickness lasted for half a year and worsened thereafter. It refused all kinds of treatment meant for it in the USA, as such, I came home.

Nevertheless, I got a total treatment at home from a herbalist and I am currently feeling healthy again. But ever since I arrived in South Sudan until now, I have not graduated from any university due to lack of financial support. I am a promising student who could achieve any dream that I put forward and work for it. I am a hardworking, God-fearing, intelligent, friendly, simple, focused, visionary and adaptive. I have too much interest in school. As such, I applied for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Juba early this year and I was accepted at the College of Medicine. But I deferred my admission until February next year because I lack funding for my course. The Course takes six (6) years.

In addition, I would require an old laptop from any of you who may have an old computer lying in the room without use.

Finally, if I could get funding for this course, I would become a doctor who could help South Sudan in particular, Africa wide and the world in general.

Please contact me immediately if you are willing to help such a serious medical student. God bless you!
