Everyone keeps talking about regulating the nervous system…
But here’s the part no one is saying:
Your nervous system isn’t broken.
It isn’t “dysregulated.”
It isn’t malfunctioning.
It’s doing its job.
It’s responding exactly the way your subconscious is telling it to.
If your body doesn’t feel safe, it protects you.
That’s not dysregulation — that’s intelligence.
And you can keep doing:
breathwork
cold plunges
somatics
vagus nerve hacks
…and maybe you’ll feel calmer for a moment.
But if the subconscious is still holding onto:
“I’m not safe.”
“Something is wrong with me.”
“My body can’t handle life.”
“I need to be perfect to be okay.”
Then no amount of “regulation” will create healing.
Regulation is coping.
Root cause healing is changing the messages your body is responding to.
That’s what actually switches symptoms off.
