Thich Nhat Hanh Has Passed Away
All of us here at Shambhala Publications are saddened by the passing of Thich Nhat Hanh this morning at Từ Hiếu Temple in Huế, Vietnam. Thay (the traditional title for a master in Vietnamese, and how his students refer to him), embodied those all-too-rare qualities of truly living in the moment, having his actions match his words, and the ability to convey the wisdom he gained from years of practice to present the teachings of the Buddha in a simple way that anyone, regardless of their background or belief system, could relate to, be inspired by, and make a reality.
In his honor and remembrance, we offer this excerpt (http://shmb.la/tnh-on-dying) from his book You Are Here, in which Thay teaches on dying. It is a poignant read today and we hope it offers you solace and a moment of reflection.
