WOMEN, ARE YOU READY FOR A NEW CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING PROCEDURE (PAP SMEAR)?
The Femscope Calm Collect Device Research Team is looking for women ages 21-35 who want to promote a change in how pelvic examinations (PAP smear) are done to assess women’s health.

You will be asked to have a cervical cancer screening (PAP smear) done by a female healthcare professional. This is not a replacement for routine health screening
The goal of this study is to compare a new device called the Femscope Calm Collect Device to the traditional cervical cancer screening assessment (pap smear).
Each participant will be asked to have two samples of cervical cells taken: one with the traditional speculum and brush and a second with the Femscope Calm Collect Device.
You must be
1) female (s*x assigned at birth)
2) s*xually active
3) able to read and understand the process.
4) English-speaking
5) have had cervical cancer screening at least once since age 18.
This study has been approved by the University of Michigan Institutional Review Board.

You must be able to attend the screening clinic on the University of Michigan-Flint William S. White Building, 303 E. Kearsley Avenue. The screening clinic is on October 5, 2024, 9:00 am until 2:00pm. You must be able to attend the clinic on this date and time.
If you are willing to move forward in women’s health cervical cancer screening, consider participating.
You will be given a stipend for your participation in this research.
