🍊🍊 Wishing ALL - A Blessed, Healthy, Cheerful & Fruitful CNY 🍊🍊

🙌 Wanna give thanks to the Lord as I was able to worship Him online @ home on the 4th day of my active chemo week (started on 19/02) for the 8th round.

🙏 On behalf of my family, I would like to thank everyone for all the tremendous help & support given as I'm so very thankful for the 3rd consecutive CNY celebrations I could enjoy & experience in His Grace with our loved ones... Be it your prayers, encouragements, inspirations, physical helps & all,... we are truly grateful for your love, concern, share & care.

🙌 Being also very thankful for the last Monday (16/02) blood test results (taken on the CNY eve) that were very encouraging especially with the tumour markers (CEA being @ 1.5; CA 19-9 @ 3.4)

Whilst becoming weaker each day during this active chemo week as in the past chemo rounds, there remain spikes in my blood pressure readings (taken daily), etc. But the Lord, we know, is in full control. For we've the full confidence in Him, as we release our anxiety, our fears & all our yokes unto Him in peace...

Pressing forward with my this cancer-faith journey, we appreciate & cherish your intercessory prayers & your endearing walks with us. Wishing y'all brimful of good cheers, great peace & blessings for the rest of the week 🙏

𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙘 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 7𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙤)

🙌 Hi all, I'm very grateful for the past Tuesday (03/02) medical consultation with Dr Edgar - my cardiologist for a critical ECHO heart cm ECG scan & for a review of my previous Wednesday blood test results to determine the impact of the chemo drug (Bevacizumab) used for all the 7 out of the 12 treatment rounds & also to see if there's any need to adjust any medication for my blood / heart - Thank God for NO negative impact assessed so far 🙌 This good report helps confirm having my next chemo to be delayed for a week because of the Chinese New Year (CNY) festivities... with all the necessary preparations & celebrations, so that I would to resume the 8th chemo round on the 3rd CNY day instead.

𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜

🙌 Great is the Lord's Day today. I'm so grateful that I was able to worship Him online @ home on the 4th day of my active chemo week (began on 29/01) despite feeling pretty weak...

🙌 Being so thankful for my past Wednesday (28/01) blood test results (including the Lipid profile assessment) that showed remarkable results - also that the negative impact on my cholesterol levels & cardiovascular risk (due to the aggressiveness of the chemo drugs) is at the minimal so far. These rounds of chemo treatments may generate some unusual / alarming spikes in any or even all of the blood pressure monitor readings - the Systolic, the Diastolic & the Heart Rate as known side effects.

During the past Thursday consultation with Dr Ben, I was briefed for some tougher side effects this 7th-round chemo would render especially on other gastrointestinal issues - requiring me to take additional meds - but would develop some form of detox-like syndrome that I need to learn to cope with actively.

I've just started to suffer a little of sore throat whilst my family members are having some flu-like symptoms - fully aware of the recent spike in common flu cases nationwide...

𝗠𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆
𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙐𝙥𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 - 𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙉𝙚𝙬𝙨

👋 Hi all, before sharing some good news, I would 1st wanna give thanks to the Almighty on this Lord's Day for His awesome grace... PTL 🙌

(1) My blood test this round (taken on 14/01) showed positive results with tumor markers being (normalised) within good safety ranges. (CEA @ 1.5 ; CEA125 @11.2 & CEA19-9 @ 4.2) PTL 🙌

(2) This CT scan showed some noticeable dwindling of the various nodules 1st spotted since April last year with the largest one being blackened (rendered dormant) & that there wasn't any other new growth. Hence, these 5 rounds of chemo treatments so far have been effective. PTL 🙌

Dr Ben (my oncologist) has therefore decided to let my remaining chemo treatments stay the same - continued on 15 January till March before the next critical scan being scheduled. Now, I would only need to have my regular blood tests done before each treatment round (1 active week then 1 passive week) begins. And the rest... is the matter of getting used to the side effects - coping, managing, regulating, adjusting & so on... Prayerfully, not overwhelming... as the treatments weaken the body further... But having no fear, as the Lord is certainly on my side - especially in this special journey with Him... 💪

Dr Ben has actually reminded me indeed to readily embrace on the idea of the co-existence of both radical (cancer) cells and good / healthy cells 与炎共存, 与癌共生 (which I've already gladly accepted) - may be for a long period of time... till perhaps the future unfolding of new technology &/or new medical development / breakthrough... 💪

This indeed reminded me of what Christ Jesus said in the Bible:
𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀
𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘸 13:24-30 (𝘕𝘓𝘛)

"... 𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 (𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵 & 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴) 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴, 𝘵𝘪𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘯.’”

👋 Hi all, this being my 1st personal medical update this new year, I would 1st wanna give thanks to the Lord on this Lord's Day for His overflowing grace... PTL 🙌

My family has also been immensely touched by your warmth, care & share + much love support for 2025 - we're indeed so very grateful 🙏

Though there were challenging moments for the past 10 days including a whole day of serious diarrhea (1st time ever in my life with such great intensity) + some curious bleeding incident on another day, the Lord has always been good to carry me through them... 🙌

Now looking forward to a very critical CT scan this coming Wednesday - that would certainly confirm if these 5 rounds of chemo so far - have been effective - would help Dr Ben (my oncologist) to determine if my remaining chemo rounds would to stay the same or to add extra drug(s) / dosages or any other steps to take moving forward, we beseech & appreciate your intercessions 🙏

𝔹𝕃𝔼𝕊𝕊𝔼𝔻 ℕ𝔼𝕎 𝕐𝔼𝔸ℝ 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟞
𝑱𝙤𝒖𝙧𝒏𝙚𝒚 𝑭𝙤𝒓𝙬𝒂𝙧𝒅 (Isaiah 42:16)

Stepping into the new year 2026, one may ask about my reflections & what I hope / wish for (this new year) moving forward...

The Lord has been awesomely good to me for the Year 2025... Amongst the many that I would want to give thanks, He enabled the medical team to spot the new nodules (extremely minute) found in my lungs during scans rendered in April 2025 whilst allowed Dr Ben (my oncologist) to continue monitor my conditions & sprang immediately into actions without undue delay - persuaded me to embrace the 2nd set of chemo treatments after finding these nodules continue grow & multiply in July - October 2025... For this - I'm truly grateful..!!

My daily bible reading the past quarter that focused on the Old Testament with a verse that the Lord spoke to me pretty loudly was - from 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝟰𝟮:𝟭𝟲 (NLT) -

𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙 [𝙮𝙤𝙪] 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙖 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝,
𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 [𝙮𝙤𝙪] 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣 𝙪𝙣𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙧 𝙬𝙖𝙮.

𝙔𝙚𝙨, 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨;
𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙠𝙚 [𝙮𝙤𝙪].

This is such a powerful promise of hope & direction from Him - showing the Almighty will provide a way forward even when His people (me being included - though in context, it's referring to the Israelites - His chosen people then), who might/may not see it themselves, turning despair into deliverance.

Yes indeed, I shall cling on to this verse throughout this new year dearly..!!

2025, being a year of much thanksgiving despite some challenges, distractions, spiritual attacks, etc... my family & I were so very overwhelmed by all your warmth, love, care & share that enabled our moving-forward so endearingly sweet. Once again, we thank y'all with all our hearts.. 🙏🙏🙏

Yes indeed, this Christmas Advent has been bringing me many pleasant surprises!!

So very glad to be able to have the morning worship onsite & again surprised @ Pastor Kai, a former pro medical practitioner laying his hands upon me interceding for my medical conditions + the inspirational message on the "Surprise from Above" preached by Pastor Timothy...

Well, thinking back - yes indeed - my cancer.faith journey has also been an embracing surprise...

Also appreciating separate home visits by my former graduated music students... Really looking forward to celebrate Christmas very soon...

Now, look how frail I'm - but I'm still thankful for all the opportunities being bestowed upon, to be with my family, my dear ones... really🙏🙏🙏

Today marks exactly the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 of my Stage-4 cancer Journey which itself has been a great divine birthday gift, surviving through numerous challenges & struggles... Such a wondrous grace...!!

Whilst being endowed with blessings upon blessings, now looking not only forward to many more healthy years ahead, but walking closer with Him & with the people I know + making new friends...!! It's certainly relational...!!
