Aki
Aki, or bligia is delicious, has a pear-shaped with a red-yellow or orange peel. After full ripening, the fruit bursts, and creamy pulp with large glossy seeds comes out. These are the most dangerous exotic fruits in the world: unripe (unopened) fruits are highly toxic due to the high content of toxins. They can be eaten only after special processing, for example, prolonged boiling. Aki tastes like a walnut. In West Africa, soap is boiled from the peel of unripe fruits, and the flesh is used for fishing.
