If I were to explain what I do professionally today I would tell you that my main purpose is to give you hope. Hope that your future can and will be better than the present and that you have the ability to make it happen. I like the word hope because it captures the spiritual and emotional layers that my coaching approach entails. It is not just about planning for the future and helping you put things in action. It’s also about the mindset, attitude and feeling. Optimism and trust will be the fuel to help you get to where you want. Most importantly it will be YOUR FUEL throughout that journey. It will help you live life through technicolor glasses. It will bring a sense of magic and wonder to your everyday life. Because life is not just about the end goal. It is about every little moment that leads to those big moments. 

I want to help you to enjoy your life now, then and in the future. And I believe that hope is the cornerstone for this 🦋

We might be aware of what it means to be happy and what we need to do to get there but we just don't follow through with the necessary steps to get there. TRAVELLING & CHILD DEVELOPMENT: Most of my earliest memories are of me travelling with my family: listening to other languages, seeing new colours, new landscapes, new faces and spending quality time in nature! Surely because of the enjoyment I got from those moments. Because of the intense sensations these positive experiences made me feel repeatedly which ultimately defined how I developed as child and later on as an adult. Traveling became part of my DNA. Spending time in nature, encountering new cultures, speaking other languages, became part of my DNA. So I love to somehow recreate those sames experiences for Mateo.
It is fascinating to witness the huge leaps of development he makes EACH TIME we travel. Mostly because of the pleasure he gets from those experiences as well. Because it is proven that enjoyment and positive interactions drive brain development 🧠.
So, if spending quality time with your family marvelling the earth's wonders around the globe wasn't reason enough for you to go travelling, think about how you are bringing that same enjoyment to your kid, how you are contributing to his development and how you are strengthening the bonds of your family as a whole ❤️ 🌴✈️

Did you know that we each have unique happiness base level? Which means that for some people it will be chemically easier to feel good than others 🤯. Nevertheless, this genetic set point does not have to pin down our level of happiness!
With consistent work, we can use self directed neuroplasticity to maximize our happiness!
And the power of expanding your happiness is that you expand everything else. You expand your brain capacity, you expand the number of people your interact with, your focus, your creativity, forgiveness, productivity, opportunities in your life... EVERYTHING!
Because when you are happy, you are more open to life and everything that it has to offer. You are more willing to go out there and pursue what you love, to go after what you deserve but also to give more. 💓

I am not a fan of the concept of international days. Mental Health Day. Women's Day. International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. World Oceans Day. Mother Earth Day. International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict. Etc. Etc. Not because I don't believe these issues deserve attention and promotion but because I am sad that they require building awareness in the first place.
Today, on Mental Health Day, I am saddened to feel how much stigma still exists in someone deciding to work with a therapist or coach. Or that some people don't know what coaching is in the first place.
Times and generations change and with it the dynamics of support. Studies show that a diverse support network will lead to increased mental health and this stems from the fact that no matter how much natural support you get from your family, close friends or coworkers (assuming you are lucky enough to have any of these) they will hardly be able to support you in every single aspect of your life.
Time pressure in our modern society doesn't make it any easier for us to reflect upon our lives, our values, our dreams, our feelings and work through these in a conscious and efficient way. Life transitions are inevitable and external circumstances are out of our control. Yet, handling them in the best way is up to us.
This is why working with specialists and people who can help you has become so important as well. I would dare to say that along with time pressure naturally came the need for increased investment on personal growth if you want to keep an optimal balance.
My hope is that working with a coach or any other therapist be normalized. In fact, my hope is that it becomes celebrated! Viewed with respect and the acknowledgement that the person decided to take ownership of their life. Decided to do the hard work of going through their feelings and though patterns in order to be more equipped to live the life they want. A life they love. And with it become more available and skilled to help their community as well ❤️

Time to talk about the role companies play in global health! Companies do more than creating jobs for their employees. They have the capacity to influence their well-being and health too!

The work environment can have a positive or negative impact on the health of the individual and in return on the company itself. Your manager understanding and listening to you has an impact on your motivation. Backbiting or being around unsatisfied colleagues can define whether you stay or leave the company. Compassion and flexibility shown in moments of change or trauma in your personal life impacts your commitment. Giving employees permission to speak (with their managers or a third party) and LISTEN has an impact on their productivity.
On their well-being.
On their health.
On the work environment.
And ultimately on RESULTS.

Presenteeism is the practice of being at work without really being AT work. This can happen because of illness, anxiety, a personal situation such as grief, childcare or elderly care issues amongst others.

Presenteeism is more costly than absenteeism. For the individual because they are not facing the problem and putting their health at stake. For the company because they have a "termite" within the system silently yet unintentionally, coroading it.

So, what are you (company leaders) going to do about it?

Becoming a mother recently made me aware of how little support there is out there specifically for THE MOM 👩🏽‍🍼. As well as how little space there is to acknowledge that motherhood is hard and that the mother too needs help 🤕. Not only to take care of the baby, but to take care of herself and all the encompassing areas of her life that suffered an enormous change in a very short amount of time.
Motherhood is a profound transformation at every level (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) that shifts our intrinsic values. It is only natural to feel divided between our different identities, overwhelmed, lost and with mixed feelings about what the future holds for us.
I wish for all new moms to feel supported by their community, to have help working through their transient emotions and thoughts, guidance consolidating their new identity and to have the tools to find the energy to continue working on their dreams and a life they love ✨.
With this in mind, I have created a group coaching program for new moms that is launching late September. I would love your help sharing this with the moms in your life. Might they be family, friends or simply acquaintances.

Group Coaching Program for New Moms 🤱🐣- my life experiences always drove the type of people I coach. Most and foremost because it was going through these life transformations that I identified the need for more support. Support in the form of real information, of compassion and in the form on empowering exercises and tools that you can learn to help you go through it all with more consciousness, confidence and ease.
Lately, I felt the need to offer a closer support to new moms. Because going through this latest transformation in my life left me feeling like there is so much MORE we can do to support this group. There are a number of growing tools out there to help take better care of your baby but I feel we forget to support the Mom through it all. Yes, having a baby is a beautiful blessing and hopefully a choice, but it doesn't change the fact that it completely turns every area of your life around in a very short amount of time. Not to mention the fears and anxieties it can trigger, topped off by some uncontrollable hormone swings 🍒😅.
This is why I have decided to launch a Group Coaching Program specifically designed for The Mom. My intention is to help News Moms consolidate their new identity and to tackle physical, emotional and mental challenges that arised with motherhood. Because I believe that a happy mom is the foundation for a happy family ❤️
