"A Five-Month-Old Fighter: A Testimony of Faith, Healing, and Hope"
This month marks a painful yet unforgettable chapter in our lives—the time when you faced the greatest battle of your life.
You were only five months old when you became critically ill. I was there. I witnessed how hard you fought. I saw your tears, your weakness, your pale little face. I saw the countless needles, surgeries, and procedures done to you. Every time you were in pain, we felt it too.
At such a young age, you fought bravely—with the help of the doctors, and most of all, through the mercy of our Lord.
Now, three years later, your parents and I remain forever grateful for your life.
Every time I see you, my dearest nephew, I am reminded of how truly amazing our Lord God is. He performed a miracle in your life. The illness that struck you was severe and life-threatening, yet God healed you and gave you the strength to overcome it.
For those who may not know Malcolm’s story: he was diagnosed with MRSA at just five months old. This is an extremely aggressive type of bacteria, resistant to many antibiotics. The infection became severe and spread throughout his body.
Doctors found a spot in his brain, large amounts of pus in his lungs, and a blockage in one of his heart valves. What made it even more dangerous was that the blockage continued to produce bacteria, making treatment extremely difficult. His kidneys were affected as well, and he had to undergo dialysis.
He was admitted to the ICU—intubated, on NGT feeding, with multiple lines attached to his fragile body.
We were terrified.
He spent 12 days in the ICU, and for 20 days there was no improvement. He could barely move. His face was sad and pale, and he cried constantly from the pain and from being repeatedly injected.
The doctors spoke to us—my husband and I were there. They told us to prepare for the worst. One doctor even said that at that time, he was probably the sickest child in all of Canada.
Still, we refused to lose hope.
I encouraged my sister to drink Intra, half a bottle daily. Since she was breastfeeding, the milk she pumped was given to Malcolm through his NGT. At the same time, we prayed fervently every single day, together with our minister, holding on to faith.
Then came the miracle.
On the 21st day, Malcolm showed improvement. For the first time, he was able to roll on his bed. And for the first time since the illness began, we saw him smile.
From that moment on, his recovery continued steadily. Seeing him happy again—especially when the intubator was finally removed—was something we will never forget.
It is truly a miracle that he survived MRSA. We all know that a five-month-old baby does not yet have a strong immune system.
Beyond the dedication of the doctors, specialists, nurses, the treatments, and medications, I truly believe that Intra played a significant role in his recovery.
It helped strengthen his immune system so he could fight the severe infection, and it gave his body the strength to endure the intense treatments he went through. Truly, an incredible product.
After 51 days at the Children’s Hospital, Malcolm was finally discharged. His strength and energy returned. Follow-up checkups showed normal results. We are deeply thankful to God and incredibly grateful for the excellent and free healthcare system here in Canada.
Today, my nephew is three years old—healthy, cheerful, active, and with a great appetite.
Every time I see him, I see Intra.
A reminder that in times of sickness, having the right support matters.
A reminder that consistency and faith make a difference.
And most of all, a reminder that miracles still happen.
His life is living proof that faith, perseverance, and the right support can move mountains. What was once a hospital bed filled with uncertainty is now a future full of laughter, strength, and hope.
God is good—all the time.
