Isn’t it interesting that we can feel painfully lonely in a crowd, or even surrounded by family and community and yet we can feel perfectly content just in our own company?

So proud of our founders in the UK. The more children this program reaches, the brighter our future will look. Well done iheart!👏😍

Last night, iheart was honoured to play a key role in a very exclusive event hosted in the State Room of 11 Downing Street, by the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

In presenting to a room full of mental health charity leaders, MP’s, business leaders, influencers and philanthropists, iheart founder, Terry Rubenstein, and CEO, Brian Rubenstein, shared iheart’s vision for a future where young people learn about uncovering the innate resilience and wellbeing which is the birthright of all our children. Conceived and superbly coordinated by our friends at The Oli Leigh Trust and joined by two other innovative charities (R;pple & The OLLIE Foundation) doing brilliant work in the field, it was an inspiring setting for gathering together many of those who can help "move the needle" by thinking innovatively about how to solve the mental health crisis facing our youth.

Terry, Brian and iheart Board of Trustee member Professor Anthony Kessel spoke at some length with Gillian Keegan, Minister of State for Care and Mental Health, about iheart’s work and our unique approach. In asking the Minister “How can we help?”, we initiated a generative conversation which concluded with Terry quoting the profound words of Archbishop Desmond Tutu: “There comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they’re falling in.”

At iheart, we are passionately committed to being ‘respectfully disruptive’. For us, this means challenging the prevailing approaches and offering a different, sustainable way to support the mental health of our youth by focusing on prevention, education and mental wellness. We are delighted that last night was another hugely encouraging step forward in bringing attention to that vision and seeing the iheart programme shared in countless schools across the UK and beyond.
