Who would have thought that lower back pain can be caused by a neck problem? It isn’t your neck that is hurting but your back! Does this sound familiar? I sure was not convinced when a friend tried to drag me half across the world to see someone that treated the neck only. But something in me said I needed to try this, so off we went. My back-pain was at this point severely affecting my life. I could not sit for more than half an hour without intense pain. I could no longer go for dinner with friends or to a movie, and travelling was absolute agony. I would lay down wherever I could; in cars, on the floor in public spaces, always occupying my friends sofas when I was visiting or in meetings at work. Not to mention the bad sleep, fatigue, side effects from painkillers, and difficulty staying at work. After four weeks of treatment, the pain was almost entirely gone, and so were the fatigue, muscle weakness, and digestive issues. I could see colours clearer, listen to, and really enjoy, music, and the fog separating me from the world was gone. How amazing life again became! I was hiking in the mountains and enjoying food with friends, once realizing I had been sitting down at a table for three hours and not once felt any pain. This was the start of my journey of recovery.
