It’s an Aries new moon, and with a new program launching, a masterclass coming up, and a membership being built behind the scenes, this girl is pulling out the big guns!

A red candle represents the Aries energy, strength, and courage, and this one has seven notches on it… one for each day of the coming week. Today it will burn to the first notch, then tomorrow a further notch, and so on until it is burned out.

Alongside it are three bay leaves for protection, prosperity, and strength. Once the spell is cast, these will be buried at each of the doors for my home, inviting abundance in, and protecting our home for the month to come.

I’ve also mixed up some sage crush, cinnamon, and mint for not just a delicious smell, but to burn and use the smoke to carry the spell out into the universe. Sage is cleansing and protection, cinnamon is success and power, and mint brings it all home with luck and money.

Using the Goddess Power deck to finish things off with a new moon intention spread, to seek guidance and wisdom for the steps ahead.

The spell is CAST with both feminine and masculine energy… Clear intention set (feminine), Activating the power of the new moon and Aries energy (feminine), Sending the energy and intention out into the universe (masculine), and Taking aligned action toward the intention (masculine).

So it seems like EVERYONE I follow is talking about this eclipse.

There are all kinds of posts out there about what it means, how it will play out, and what we should/could/must/mustn't do.

Here is where I check out on that particular topic.

The eclipse is a powerful energy, made more gentle by the Mercury retrograde happening currently. It is also happening in a dark/new moon phase, which means that the energy is even more gentle again.

The Aries energy is all about "I am", which means you get to decide what you are, what you want to be, and how you want to get there. If you're planning to use the eclipse energy to help you with that, please feel free to do so... but be discerning about who you follow and what you listen to around what is appropriate and what isn't.

My personal (completely not professional opinion!) thought is that I am going to treat it much like any other dark/new moon energy, and I am going to cast a spell.

Any spell is about intention, activation, initiation and action. The eclipse energy doesn't change that, so I will be doing the same thing I do every month... but with a longer term view, because:

1. Aries is the start of the astrological calendar, so is a form of new year,

2. It is Autumn here in the southern hemisphere, so planting seeds I desire to harvest require a longer term plan, and

3. The conjunct with Chiron and the mercury retrograde mean that this eclipse carries an energy of ending the way you talk with yourself or think, and beginning a new path. In my experience, any change like that takes time to integrate, so taking a short term view would be unwise.

Be gentle with yourself, be discerning, and be willing to take a longer term perspective with this new moon energy than you usually would. That's all I am going to say about the eclipse xx

It’s time! Today I am prepping for a much needed grounding ritual… have been feeling a little untethered of late! Lots of grounding and protection crystals, some candles, my gorgeous Alder wand, and an invocation to Grandmother Earth to hold me closer while I return to myself…

For more months than I care to count (we should be counting in years but I'm not there yet with acknowledging my stubbornness) I have been getting messages from people and nudges from Spirit telling me to teach. To share what I know. To help others on their path to mediumship connection.

I kept telling them, and myself, that I wasn't the right person to teach mediumship because, after all, my own mediumship journey has been somewhat unconventional.

But isn't that the point? Everyone has a different journey with their mediumship, and whether we have been seeing Spirit since we were children, or whether it is something we are developing now as adults, our unique journey and connection with Spirit still requires support, and mentorship, and space to practice and learn and grow.

The Awakening Medium brings everything I have learned in the past 5 years to the table, and is rooted in three key awarenesses...

1. There is no such thing as unshakeable TRUTH. My truth is mine, and it might also be yours, but it might not be, and either way, we are good. I teach from this place, and willingly share my philosophy on things based on what I know to be true, for me, in this moment. That truth is always subject to change based on lived experience and gathered wisdom.

2. Everyone is capable of a connection with Spirit, but it looks different for everyone, and some people will never actually open to it or get out of their own way to receive it... and that is completely okay. If connection with Spirit is something you are open to, desire, or seek out, it will come in whatever way makes sense for you.

3. When we choose to journey with Spirit, our lives are irrevocably changed, and we are irrevocably changed, but that change isn't always easy, or welcome. Being mentored with compassion, being in community and in connection with others who are on their own journey with Spirit makes the path less lonely, and less heavy.

Awakening to your own unique mediumship is a rich and rewarding journey, made lighter and easier when you engage the right mentorship and community to journey with.

We are two days out from the full moon in Virgo, and I am definitely feeling her strong this month! Between the sun entering mystical Pisces this week and the full moon energy, a lot is coming up for me around my spiritual practice, and how I find ways to bring more of that into my daily routines.

I am also being reminded lately of Chiron, the wounded healer. My Chiron placement is in the 9th house, which means that my journey requires me to find ways to confront emotional wounds and balance the physical with the spiritual. To add to this, because my Chiron is in Ta**us, my biggest emotional wounds stem from a fear of loss and a desire for security. Because of this (and my sun placement in Ta**us!) I tend to look to material security rather than having unbreakable faith in the universe to provide.

It's a work in progress!

With the full moon coming up, and a growing awareness of Chiron, I am taking this moment to pause and ask for illumination on how I can work with that woundedness and grow spiritually in the coming weeks and months. Usually, a full moon is a time of reflection and illumination, and most often we will practice release at this time, however…

The full moon in Virgo is actually the perfect time to create a long term plan for your spiritual healing and growth.

So, this full moon, instead of my usual release ritual, I am going to be contemplating a long term spiritual practice that works specifically with my Chiron placement, and my need to find balance between the physical and the spiritual. I’ll be pulling cards from some of my favourite oracle decks, doing some journaling, and casting a wee spell for good measure.

Leading into the end of another year, I have been guided to offer a 2024 year ahead reading - a 13 card reading that offers guidance on each month of the year as well as the year as a whole.

Each card will be read individually, then the whole spread will be brought together at the end, creating a reading that will last approximately an hour. I will also include a subsequent 15 minute voice chat session for questions you have, or any clarification you need.

These readings will be recorded and sent as a video for you, so you can watch and rewatch as you desire. The voice chat session will be over messenger or WhatsApp, depending on your preference.

These readings are priced at $111 USD and I will be recording and sending them in December. There are 15 spaces available.
