If you are fancying a chat with someone you can ring the NHS volunteer helpline and they'll get a volunteer to give you a call. I'm one of the many volunteers 😊

These are the 5 ways to wellbeing and if we try and incorporate the 5 things in our daily lives we should feel a lot happier and contented 😊

1. Take notice : this is mindfulness which I'm covering on this page

2. Connect: a bit harder at the moment but we can phone, Skype, facetime, talk to neighbours (social distance) write a letter, say hi or smile at people we pass in the street.

3. Be active: we are allowed to go out once a day for exercise so make sure you do, a gentle walk or a good run, bike ride, skate or whatever you enjoy, will do you the world of good not only physically but mentally too. Or turn up the radio and have a good old dance round the front room or garden. There's loads of celebs doing different types of exercise online for free at the moment, take a look and see what you can find.

4.Give: its surprising how good it makes us feel to give to others, this can be anything from a smile, to a favour, to a gift. Now more than ever we can show appreciation for others, the keyworkers, the stranger who social distances, the volunteers helping the community along with many others. Take a moment to thank them online or in person when given the opportunity.

5. Keep Learning: the old saying never to old to learn something new is oh so right. We need to keep our brains active. There's loads of ways to learn new things like, online courses, a new dance, trying a new recipe, getting crafty, learn to play an instrument, the list is endless. But remember you don't have to become an expert just try and be happy with whatever level you achieve, the point is you tried and you've learnt something new.

Keep smiling
Stay safe xx

We can use our pets as mindfulness tools,.
If we take extra time and really notice them. We can focus in on their fur, feel the texture, look at the colours, the direction it grows. Their faces, look at all their features one at a time and really notice. Enjoy the sensation of smoothing them.
Give it a go you pet lovers out there and let me know how you get on 👍😊

I just recieved this from the lovely Chloe a friend of mine and she's completely right 👍😊 colouring is a fabulous tool for mindfulness. We can use it to relax and give our minds a break. Sit somewhere quiet, really concentrate on the picture and choose the colours you're going to use, as you colour be mindful of what you're colouring and watch the colour appear, notice the different shades you can get from using different pressure on the pen/pencil. Nothing else matters just the picture.
Give it a go and leave a message in the comments.
Good luck 😀
