*Objective*
A school awareness session regarding the upcoming MR (Measles-Rubella) and OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine) campaign was conducted with the teachers of Pak Progressive School. During the session, briefed to the teachers about the campaign dates, the importance of vaccination, and how these vaccines help protect children from serious diseases.

Teachers were informed about their role in guiding parents and encouraging them to ensure their children are vaccinated during the campaign. They agreed to support the campaign and spread awareness among parents.

The session was monitored by DO MR Ahmed,

Overall, the session was successful and the school administration assured full cooperation during the MR + OPV campaign.

آپ کے بچوں کی صحت اور مستقبل آپ کے ہاتھ میں ہے۔ پولیو جیسے خطرناک مرض سے بچاؤ کی مہم 13 اکتوبر سے 19 اکتوبر 2025 تک جاری رہے گی۔

پولیو ایک ایسا مرض ہے جو بچوں کو زندگی بھر کی معذوری میں مبتلا کر دیتا ہے۔ رواں سال 2025 میں پاکستان میں 29 پولیو کیسز رپورٹ ہوئے ہیں، اور متعدد ماحولیاتی نمونوں میں وائرس کی موجودگی کی تصدیق ہوئی ہے، جو تشویش کا باعث ہے۔

ہم آپ سے درخواست کرتے ہیں کہ پیدائش سے پانچ سال تک کے تمام بچوں کو پولیو ویکسین کے قطرے اور وٹامن A کیپسول ضرور دلائیں، چاہے وہ پہلے بھی ویکسین لے چکے ہوں۔

ہماری صحت محافظ ٹیمیں گھر گھر پہنچیں گی، جبکہ کتیانہ میمن اسپتال، بانٹوا ڈسپنسری، اور کھارادر جنرل اسپتال میں بھی یہ ویکسین اور وٹامن A کیپسول دستیاب ہوں گے۔

یاد رکھیں، آپ کا یہ چھوٹا سا قدم آپ کے بچے کی زندگی کو معذوری سے بچا کر صحت مند مستقبل کی ضمانت بن سکتا ہے۔

*Area NEW NEHAM ROAD BOLTAN MARKIT*

A Polio Awareness Walk was held with Sheldone School to spread awareness about the importance of polio vaccination. The walk was joined by teachers and students of Sheldone School, *Assistant Commissioner Aram Bagh Madam Muntaha, SCBO Sir Rana Faisal, and CCO Madam Zartasha.*

The walk started from *Quaid-e-Azam Birth Palace* and ended at Sheldone School. Participants carried awareness cards and banners with messages about protecting every child from polio.

The activity helped students and the community understand why polio drops are important for every child. The presence of *government officials* made the event more encouraging.

The walk was successful and sent a strong message for a *polio-free Pakistan.*

This was the first meeting with *Dr. Naresh*. He was informed about the *POLIO CAMPAIGN* that children from birth up to five years of age will be given two drops of polio vaccine along with *Vitamin A capsules*. Therefore, he was requested to inform all parents of children under five years who visit his clinic that polio drops are highly beneficial for children’s health and not harmful.

*Dr. Naresh* gave full assurance of his cooperation and confirmed that he will definitely advise parents to give their children the two drops of polio vaccine.

All buildings were provided with Polio and Vitamin A campaign letters. Along with distribution, letters were also displayed on boards in each building. The building representatives pledged that this time all children from birth to five years will receive Polio drops along with Vitamin A capsules, and they will fully cooperate with the visiting teams.

To raise awareness among teachers about polio vaccination, routine immunization, hygiene, and their role in guiding parents to support the upcoming campaign.

*Session Delivery:*
The session was delivered by CBO Nazia and CM Shaheen with participation from both morning and evening shift teachers.

*Session Highlights:*

Explained the importance of polio vaccination and routine immunization.

Shared updated details of polio cases and campaign dates.

Discussed hygiene and cleanliness practices at home and in the community.

Explained the benefits of Vitamin A supplements.

Cleared teachers’ concerns about vaccine cold chain and its safety.

Guided teachers on how to handle sick or refusal children in schools and ensure they get vaccinated later.

A meeting was conducted with the admin staff of Dr. Essa Lab (Meethadar Branch), Mr. Faizan, regarding the upcoming campaign. During the discussion, it was agreed that the area mobile team will stay at CVS Essa Lab during the campaign.

In addition, Vaccinator Imran will establish a vaccination point once a week at the lab, so that people from the nearby community can easily bring their children for vaccination.

*Key Discussion Points*

1. NID OCT 2025 Campaign Preparations

The upcoming campaign was reviewed in detail.

Microplan readiness was assessed, and existing gaps were identified for correction.

2. Review of Sep campaign 2025 Challenges

The group discussed challenges faced during the last campaign, particularly refusal cases in Jodia Bazaar, Bombay Bazaar, and Gow Gali.

Direct refusal data was shared with influencers, who committed to helping resolve these cases in the next round.

3. Strategy for Refusal Conversion

It was agreed to repeat the calling activity (used successfully in the last campaign).

Influencers will call refusal families three days before the campaign to convince them and stress the importance of polio vaccination.

UCSP Zaryab raised security-related concerns, and Mr. assured his full support during the campaign.

5. Communication Strategy

WhatsApp groups and other platforms will be actively used to spread campaign messages and mobilize the community.

Influencers’ Commitments

All influencers assured their full cooperation for the upcoming campaign. They emphasized working collectively to address refusals and strengthen community confidence in polio vaccination.

A session was held at Al Suleh School with 13 teachers.

In the session, following points were shared:

*Importance of Polio vaccination*

*Importance of Routine vaccination*

*Benefits of Vitamin A supplements*

*Campaign dates were informed*

Teachers were also told about their role to support OPV campaign and how they can guide parents for vaccination.

*The mother of PMC child Sail Sabeel, who is also a teacher in the school, was specially guided about vaccination.*

After the session, the school letter was given to the principal, the vaccination date was confirmed, and 100% classroom vaccination assurance was received.

*Outcome:* Teachers promised full support and agreed to motivate parents and students for vaccination.
