Today, Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, witnessed an alarming incident that highlights a severe issue threatening the integrity and safety of our medical institution. A group led by Hamza Nazeer, a self proclaimed leader known for his erratic behavior, forcibly attempted to coerce house officers into joining a protest against the Medical Superintendent. When several honorable house officers, including Dr. Abubakkar Wazir, refused to participate, declaring their duty to patient care over political activities, they were met with aggression. They were physically assaulted and beaten to sever injuries.

Hamza Nazeer and his associates vandalized office doors and assaulted senior doctors and registrars. This violence escalated, resulting in another doctor suffering a skull fracture.

This group of doctors, acting more like thugs, is led by Shabbir Chaudhary, infamously known as "Dollar." Shabbir has consistently manipulated situations, labeling respectable doctors from KPK and Balochistan as terrorists from Afghanistan, a false narrative that endangers our colleagues and disrupts the hospital's harmony.

Shabbir Chaudhary’s history of intimidation includes recent harassment of an orthopedic doctor and violent attacks on security personnel. His influence extends to media manipulation, presenting themselves as victims after instigating violence. This group's actions have created a hostile environment, threatening the academic and professional atmosphere of our institution.

As of now a student from final year, and some doctors are in Police Custody, on the direction of Shabbir Dollar. This shows how this Mafia has hijacked everyone in this system. He is backed by PMLN’s corrupt politicians and that the reason he can terrorise everyone.

We cannot remain silent. It is time to expose Shabbir Chowdhary and his associates for their destructive actions. We urge the higher authorities to intervene and restore safety and order at Jinnah Hospital. Our institution must return to being a place of learning and healing, free from the tyranny of these individuals.

As dedicated medical professionals, we call on our colleagues, the administration, and the media to support us in reclaiming our hospital from these malign influences. It is imperative that we act now to protect the integrity of our profession and the safety of all doctors and patients at Jinnah Hospital.

🌍🤝 Stand for Solidarity with the Victims of Gaza War 🤝🌍

The Young Doctors Association at Jinnah Hospital Lahore is compelled to address the alarming situation unfolding in Gaza. It is with great sadness that we witness the ongoing humanitarian crisis inflicted upon the people of Gaza by the terrorist organisation of Israel, a crisis that violates international laws and goes against the principles of humanity.

The recent attacks have not only resulted in the loss of innocent lives and widespread devastation but have also targeted healthcare facilities. It is with deep concern that we condemn the deliberate attacks on hospitals, which are meant to be safe spaces for healing and care. Such actions undermine the very essence of our shared humanity and disregard the fundamental principles of international law.

Moreover, the cutting down of electricity and water supply in Gaza has further exacerbated the already challenging situation, making it extremely difficult for healthcare professionals to provide adequate medical assistance. The basic necessities required to sustain a functioning healthcare system have been severely compromised, leaving the people of Gaza in a state of vulnerability and despair.

We strongly condemn these actions that blatantly violate international laws and call for an immediate end to the attacks on hospitals, as well as the restoration of essential services like electricity and water supply. The right to access healthcare is a basic human right, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that this right is protected for every individual, regardless of their circumstances.

Let us unite our voices in demanding justice, peace, and respect for human rights. By raising awareness, advocating for change, and supporting organizations working on the ground, we can contribute to the restoration of normalcy and the provision of essential healthcare services in Gaza.

Together, we can make a difference and stand in solidarity with the victims of the Gaza War. Let us work towards a world where peace, justice, and the respect for human rights prevail.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Dr. Waqar, a resident of histopathology at Jinnah Hospital Lahore. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

It's devastating to know that Dr. Waqar was suffering from mental health issues and facing complex career issues from the administration of Jinnah Hospital and Health Secretariat. We condemn the apathetic behavior of the administration and their failure to address his concerns, which undoubtedly worsened his mental health and contributed to the tragedy.

The Young Doctors Association always strives for the rights of doctors and works towards creating a better working environment for all medical professionals. We are committed to taking measures to address this issue and ensure that no other doctor has to suffer the same fate as Dr. Waqar. YDA JHL will announce its future steps to tackle the issue and force the administration for an impartial inquiry on this sad incident. YDA JHL will not rest till the real culprits face the consequences.

*YDA JHL will arrange a special prayer for his higher ranks in Jannah on the holy day of coming Friday at the conference room of JHL in front of the MS office at 10:00am.*

Dr.Zabbab is a young, energetic, dedicated ,time-tested, and an upright YDian.He graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College . He has worked as COVID-19 Medical Officer at Allied Hospital Faisalabad and has recently joined Jinnah Hospital Lahore( AIMC) as Medical Officer.

Dr Zabbab has been serving this organization for years & has been the torch bearer of all the recent YDA movements Including The MTI movement, Hunger camp at the Secretariat, movement against NLE and PMC. He has been a dedicated activist since his student life, always leading from the front and raising voice for the rights of the doctors , looking after hostel affairs ,fundraising for PPEs in the Covid19 pandemic and fighting for the rights of COVID-19 Medical Officers.
He has always been steadfast. A strong and loud voice of the young generation, an active participant in the debate on future of doctors in this country, a great bridge between the future and the past of activism among doctors His role in motivating students and Juniors to serve the community has been of much importance for the organization. He is an excellent choice for this job, with him the Young doctors’ future is in safe hands.

His loyalty, ardour and love for this organization is beyond any doubts.
