When we first bought our home, I was so overwhelmed by all the things we suddenly needed to know and do to keep it safe—especially with little kids running around. I thought I was doing the right thing by grabbing a couple of fire extinguishers, but it turns out…I had the wrong ones.
Comment KIDDIE and I’ll send you the link to my list.
It wasn’t until a friend reached out and corrected me that I realized how important it is to have the right extinguisher in the right place. Since then, I’ve learned so much from our local fire department (who have been amazing educators), and they specifically recommended Kiddie extinguishers for families.
Here in this post I shared the info they gave me on which fire extinguishers to have where.
If you’ve ever stared at those confusing codes on the label like I did—this post is for you. Save it for later so you know exactly what goes where! For reference— it’s recommended to have 1 in living space, 1 in kitchen, 1 in garage and 1 in master bedroom. A tool you never want to need but will want to have.
