This is something I say over and over and over again...

Stop pushing through your pain..

It runs counter to what we normally hear.

* You've got to work super hard
* No pain / no gain
* Pain means you're getting somewhere

However, the evidence is crystal clear that pain that's lasted beyond 3 months has more to do with an overprotective response going on in the nervous system than it has to do with damage to the body.

Pushing through pain further inflames this response going on in the nervous system.

It encourages the brain to pump up the volume on the pain in order to be heard.

I get that it's hard to slow down when your to-do list is long.

There may be times when you have no choice and you have to get things done and pushing through is the only option.

The good news is that if you can slow it down, make your movement smaller and refrain from pushing even a little bit, the nervous system will reward you exponentially!!

As an example, if walking brings on pain, try walking with smaller steps, going a little more slowly than you would otherwise.

When you notice the first signs of pain, take a break.

Interoception: It's your body's inner voice.
Listen to it. Feel it.
It's not just about pain; it's about awareness.
Your body communicates more than just pain.
While pain may be its loudest voice, there's a more subtle voice waiting to be heard.
In that subtlety lies your resilience, courage, and strength. You possess them all.
Awareness of this subtle voice is your secret weapon.
It can guide you out of pain.
Tap into your body's internal wisdom.
Will you take a moment today to get comfortable and truly listen?
Whether you sit or lie down, it doesn't matter.
Just find the quiet to hear what's beneath the pain.
Breathe.
Listen.

Still in pain — even after doing everything right?

There’s a reason… and there’s a way forward.

If you’ve tried PT, chiropractic, massage, exercises, injections, rest, pushing through, everything... and you're still hurting — it’s not because you're broken.

It’s because most approaches miss a huge piece of the puzzle:
👉 The nervous system.

I’m leading a free 5-day challenge starting June 16, called:
From Pain to Power Yoga Therapy Challenge and I’d love to invite you.

This is not about pushing your body harder.

It’s about working with your body — with real science, gentle movement, and practical tools that help your system feel safe enough to finally let go of chronic tension and pain.

We’ll cover:
➡️ How pain works (and why it sticks around)
➡️ The real role of your psoas and nervous system
➡️ How to move and breathe in a way that unwinds pain patterns instead of aggravating them
➡️ Why awareness and safety are the missing ingredients in lasting relief

This isn’t a magic fix. But it’s a real start.

Comment “more” below and I’ll be in touch with the details.

If your body has been screaming for a different approach — this might just be it.

Hope to see you inside! Tricia

For whatever diagnosis you've received, zoom out and look more broadly.

Muscular imbalances can be solved.
You can learn to regulate your nervous system.
Joints can be stabilized with muscular training.
Combined, that means less pain.
You are more than the sum of your parts.

To find out how you can get relief, comment below and we'll reach out.

I heard this over and over again when I was younger... and here it is again.
It's strange how this message continues to dominate.
Why strange? Because it's the opposite of what we need when pain is present.
It teaches us to distance ourselves from our body's voice.
You know the one—the voice that quietly whispers when you're heading towards pain, the voice that tells you it's time to take a break.
Ignoring this voice can lead us to push through pain, reinforcing a cycle that doesn't serve us.
Instead, what if we listened and allowed our bodies to guide us toward healing and ease?

We've got a 5 day Live Challenge coming up from June 16th - 20th. Join the From Pain to Power Yoga Therapy Challenge to learn how to solve all the contributing factors that create psoas issues. Comment below to receive the link to register!

The diagnosis isn’t the problem — it’s what’s missing from the treatment.
You’ve been told your pain is from arthritis, or degeneration, or “your age.”

But no one explains why your joints are breaking down in the first place.
Here’s what they often miss:
When we carry stress or trauma that hasn’t been processed, the nervous system stays on high alert.

That creates chronic tension in muscles and fascia — the soft tissue that holds everything together.
That tension pulls joints out of alignment.

And when joints are misaligned, they wear down.
So yes, you might technically have arthritis in your hip.

But the real question is:
What’s creating the environment for that joint to break down?
Treating the joint without addressing the tension — or the stress that created it — is like repainting a house with a crumbling foundation.
This is why my work focuses on the whole system:
We restore mobility to the tight tissues
We rewire the brain’s threat response
And we rebuild strength in the places your body has forgotten
This isn’t a workaround.

It’s the direct route to real, lasting relief.
And the best part?

You already have the tools. You just haven’t been taught how to use them — yet.
Let me know if you're ready to learn 🙂

Feeling calm goes with feeling less pain. Here's another way for you to establish that sense of calm in the body and get all your systems working with more ease.

The Vagus nerve is the longest nerve in the body. It's the communication highway between all your organs and the brain.

Most of that communication moves from the body to the brain, informing it when signs point to a sense of SAFETY.

That's KEY to calming down the entire nervous system which in turn, dials down the pain.

It's not a stand-alone solution. But it is part of how I help my clients solve what isn't working and get them to feel relief.

I'm giving away my Vagus Nerve Primer at next week's Masterclass, Take Charge of Pain: Transform Your Body, Transform Your Life!

Want in? Comment Nerve and I'll drop the registration link for you.

It's all happening March 31st at 6 p.m. EDT. If you're a woman in midlife dealing with pain and other symptoms, you don't want to miss it!

Women often tell me that they feel like they’re 80 years old when they are actually in their 50’s or early 60’s.

Nobody warned them of that when they first started noticing that the pain wasn’t going away as expected.

Nobody warned them that they’d lose muscle tone because the pain caused them to stop moving and using their bodies. Or that trying to build muscle tone back later in life is harder than it used to be.

And nobody warned them that their activity would become more and more restricted to the point that they’d be giving up doing the things they love to do…the things that bring them joy.

What did nobody tell you that has been really difficult to navigate because of the pain?

My mom had a plaque of the Serenity Prayer hanging over our kitchen table throughout my childhood.

A client shared this variation with our group the other day and I asked to share it with all of you.

One thing I've observed over the years is the prevalence of the tendency to beat ourselves up.

Is it everyone? Is it women in general? Or people with chronic pain?

No clear data on that...

But I do know that stopping this habit is a part of what shifts the body and mind out of pain.

Just like MOVING with ease shifts the brain out of it's hypersensitivity, changing this mental habit is like establishing ease in the mind.

Soo....be kind to yourself. Look yourself in the mirror and love yourself.
Easy does it. 💕💕💕
