Does this sound familiar? Every meal feels like walking a tightrope. You spend hours planning and searching for the only foods your child will eat. You panic if a favourite food goes out of stock. You worry every single day about their weight and health.

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. Many parents live with the quiet fear that their child’s eating habits are more than just fussy eating. This could be Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) - a complex and often misunderstood condition that can leave families feeling scared and isolated.

That’s why we are hosting an ARFID webinar with Dr Liz Shea, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, to help you understand ARFID and how to support your child safely and compassionately.

📅 13th November | 8–10pm | Online
🎟 Book your place now: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1477300618919

You do not have to figure this out on your own.

Following the success of yesterday's post, which now has a reach of almost 2 million, I have decided to release the boy version I created at the same time.

Whilst masking is more prevalent in females, there are without doubt males who do and this should not be overlooked.

Want to understand more about masking and neurodivergent wellbeing?

Explore the full Masking Toolkit by The Contented Child for visuals, guides, and practical tools that help uncover what’s behind the mask — and support children to feel safe being their true selves. Link in comments ⬇️ or via Linktree Shop in our Bio.

NOTE
Some children do mask so competently that it can be hard to get a diagnosis - that is why I created Meet My Brain: Power & the Tricky Bits. Link in comments.
