CDH hosts benchmarking initiative to improve Hospital Claims Processing

In an effort to improve healthcare efficiency, representatives from the PHO and District Hospitals of Apayao recently conducted a benchmarking visit to Conner District Hospital for its claims processes on January 7, 2026. The visit aimed to assess CDH’s current claims procedures, discuss challenges, and learn from best practices that could be adopted to streamline claims processing and management. The CDH Billing and Claims Unit with the PHIC Claims Committee shared their existing system for in-patient and OPD claims, highlighting areas of success, previous experiences and opportunities for improvement.

The collaborative effort was met with constructive discussions and valuable insights, fostering a shared commitment to enhance service delivery. The PHO and district hospitals expressed their appreciation for CDH’s transparency and dedication to quality care.
This benchmarking initiative also encourages learning from peer institutions and adopting innovative solutions to enhance claims handling. Conner District Hospital's commitment to benchmarking can lead to more transparent, efficient, and reliable claims processing, ultimately supporting financial sustainability and better healthcare delivery.
