We have a cinnamon Somali adult female for placement. This is a sweet, quirky, funny girl that needs a special home. She came back to us after suffering an injury in her previous pet home. She will not need special attention or future medical care but she was left handicapped from her last home. We are looking for a serious, Somali oriented person or family that has a quiet, stable household for her. Another kitty is fine as long as it is a quiet, gentle cat or even an older, quiet, gentle dog for a companion. No young children, rowdy dogs or a multi-cat household please! As difficult as it will be to place this kitty again, it is in her best interest. We will not ship this kitty, someone local to the Colorado or surrounding areas is best. If you have room in your home and heart for a special needs retired Somali adult, please reach out to us and tell us about yourself and your current pet situation.

Added kitten picture for interest. We are not sure why but we seem to have several email addresses that are bouncing from pet inquiries. If you sent us a contact form but have not gotten a response, it is possible you are one of the addresses that keeps being returned as undeliverable.

And then that really weird picture that makes you wonder, is he hugging his brother? or trying to strangle him? Hmmmm

This weeks picture is designed to cover all four of the accepted CFA colors. This is an old picture, from back in 2020 (we all remember that year!) so none of these cuties are available.

Still waiting for kittens, we have several weeks to go. This weeks photo is a flashback of several years to a cinnamon female Aby kitten. We use to refer to this color as "red" but it has now been changed to "cinnamon" for CFA breeders.

About us.

Front Range Abyssinians & Somalis is a home based cattery specializing in purebred Abyssinian & Somalis. For almost 30 years our kittens have been raised underfoot and as part of our family. We focus on health and temperament as well as conforming to the breed standard of the Cat Fancier's Association (CFA) and The International Cat Association (TICA). All of our kittens come with a limited 4 year health guarantee, they are already spayed and neutered so as to not contribute to the pet overpopulation and microchipped. Pet kittens are a natural part of raising pedigreed animals and while we would love to keep them all we understand the necessity to place some in loving pet homes. Our adults are generally only kept in our breeding program for a few years and once retired are placed in loving pet homes. We do not believe in having animals kept forever as breeding animals and most of our breeding cats are “retired” by the age of 5 y/o. Somalis and Abyssinians are known for their energy level, connection with their human caretakers and sweet, fearless personality. While many of our kittens would do well in the show environment, we understand that we cannot keep them all so it is not uncommon for us to place a kitten of show quality in a pet home.
