At one stage early on Monday, ambulances were waiting over 300 minutes with patients outside the emergency department where there were no beds available.
The findings of an unannounced HIQA inspection of the Emergency Department at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda in April of this year puts into black and white the issues facing the hospital’s busy emergency department.
