The Municipal Health Office of Maayon – Municipal Epidemiological and Surveillance Unit (MESU) successfully passed the Epidemiological and Surveillance System Assessment with no compliance findings. 🎉

The team, led by Dr. Sandra Sorongon, extends heartfelt thanks to the Capiz Epidemiology and Surveillance Response Unit (CESRU) and the Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (RESU) for their visit and valuable technical assistance.

📌 Strengthening Digital Health Services in Maayon

The Maayon Primary Health Care Facility I has fully integrated the iClinicSys Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system into its daily workflow to enhance the delivery of healthcare services. This digital shift covers key processes such as initial patient registration, pulling up and updating medical records, documenting consultations, and recording diagnostic examinations.

This initiative aims to improve efficiency, accuracy, and continuity of care by streamlining patient data management through a standardized electronic platform. By utilizing iClinicSys, the facility seeks to reduce processing time, ensure accurate and secure patient information, support data-driven decision-making, and ultimately provide a more responsive and patient-centered health service for the community of Maayon.

As part of the response efforts for Tropical Storm Tino, the Municipal Health Office of Maayon led by Dr. Sandra Sorongon conducted visits and assessments on November 3-4, 2025 to selected evacuation centers in Maayon, focusing on Medical and Public Health services, Nutrition, and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), including Disease Surveillance, to safeguard the health and well-being of all evacuees. 💚🌧️👩‍⚕️

The PuroKalusugan Team 2 rendered essential health services today October 23, 2025 at Barangay Quinat-uyan, Maayon, Capiz, focusing on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Cancer Awareness. 💧💉🎗️

This activity aims to raise community awareness on the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases, promote proper hygiene and sanitation practices, and strengthen early detection and prevention of cancer through health education and accessible medical services.

The Municipal Health Office of Maayon, in partnership with the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. (PTSI), invites everyone to avail of the Free Chest X-ray Screening on November 5, 2025 (Wednesday) at the Maayon Civic Center, starting 8:00 AM onwards.

This activity aims to strengthen Active Case Finding in the early detection of tuberculosis (TB) and other lung related diseases.

TAMPAD SERBISYO CARAVAN SA KABARANGGAYAN: A Fiesta of Government Services 🎉

The Municipal Health Office (MHO) proudly took part in the Tampad Serbisyo Caravan sa Kabaranggayan, a convergence of government agencies bringing essential programs and services closer to the people held at Quevedo, Maayon, Capiz on October 17, 2025.

During the activity, the MHO team extended vital health services to the community, serving a total of 488 individuals through the following:
