The Potted Zebra I'm a Potted Zebra. Or I'm a Zebra with POTS. Hi! I'm Jill. But, EDS patients defy Occam's razor. We are not common and we are not simple! We are zebras!

I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Type III (Hypermobility type), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), a form of Dysautonomia, Chiari 0, and a laundry list of secondary conditions. I have EDS Type III (Hypermobility type) and POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, a form of Dysautonomia) Why are EDS patients zebras? It’s from the old saying “If you hear hoof beats think horse not zebra.” Doctors live by this standard of thinking.

Finally found a good article. That explains clearly and simply, how an E.D.S. patient can have Chiari and other conditions that don't show up on a traditional supine MRI. I will be printing out copies for any new doctors. It also, has a good list of symptoms. I need to send this to a lot of doctors who told me that my symptoms were "not possible" or "pseudo....".
