The physicians and staff of Mountain ENT are heartbroken to share the passing of Dr. Ben Douglas. Dr. Douglas was the founding member of Mountain ENT in 1985. For more than 35 years he served our community with tremendous skill, compassion and humor. This loss is especially hard for all of us fortunate enough to work with him. He was an extraordinary leader, a mentor and above all, a true friend. Please join us in praying for his family during this difficult time.

For all other matters, please leave a message and our office staff will return your call as soon as possible. We will be experiencing higher call volumes so we appreciate your patience.

We are currently experiencing technical issues with our phone system. We are working with our IT department to remedy this as quickly as possible. Currently, we are unable to make any phone calls. Some phone calls are being received. If you are able to get through and have to leave a message, or if you left a message earlier in the day that has yet to be returned, we will return your call as soon as systems are restored.

Our offices will be closed on Friday January 10th due to expected winter weather. We are contacting patients with scheduled appointments and plan to re-open at 8:30 on Monday January 13th. Please stay safe and contact our office with any questions or concerns at 828-586-7474.

Our West Asheville/Candler office re-opens today! We plan to be on a regular schedule for patients with appointments and our allergy shot patients. Please call our office with any questions or to schedule an appointment. 828-458-8100.

Our West Asheville/Candler office remains closed while we patiently wait for water to be restored to our area. Our Asheville staff has been relocated to our Sylva office for the immediate future. We are open and scheduling appointments in our Sylva, Franklin and Murphy locations. We remain committed to providing care to our communities and are happy to serve new or established patients by calling 828-586-7474 for assistance.
Thank you to all the first responders, power and water personnel and volunteers who are assisting our communities during this time!

UPDATE: In an effort not to disrupt the supply chain in our community, we do ask that you start by donating any extra supply you have on hand before purchasing from our local stores. Thank you for your generosity!

We have so many patients, staff members and families that have been devastated by the impacts of Hurricane Helene. We will be collecting supplies in our Sylva office that we will take weekly into affected areas where we have reliable distribution relationships. The most immediate needs are:
Disposable and Cloth Diapers
Adult Diapers
Formula
Baby Bottles
Cleaning Supplies
Bug Spray
Non-perishable Food
Reusable Bags/Grocery Bags
Shelf Stable Milk
Hygiene Products; Toothbrush/Toothpaste; Feminine Hygiene; Personal Cleaning Wipes
If you are a patient and have an appointment, or if you would just like to donate any of the above supplies, you may drop them at our Sylva office to be distributed in the coming weeks.

Our West Asheville/Candler office remains closed due to internet, phone and water outages. We are constantly assessing the situation. We will be contacting all patients to offer appointments in our other locations. We will be contacting all of our allergy patients that receive allergy shots in the West Asheville/Candler office with your options to continue to receive your shots during this time. You can reach our office at 828-586-7474 with any questions or concerns. We will continue to support our local communities that have been impacted by this tragedy.

UPDATE: Harris Hospital will also be closed for surgery on Wednesday October 2. We are attempting to reach our patients to reschedule for surgical procedures scheduled at the hospital, but phone communication is limited.

Our Sylva, Franklin and Murphy offices are open on a regular schedule. Our West Asheville/Candler office remains closed while there is still no power to the area. Harris hospital has no communication capabilities and have closed to all surgeries for today and tomorrow. (9/30 and 10/1). We will continue to provide updates to our page as we have additional information.

Our West Asheville/Candler office remains closed. We are doing our best to open Sylva, Franklin and Murphy on a regular schedule tomorrow, September 30. We are thinking of everyone in our communities during this incredibly difficult time!
