Retrospective 2023

Being in the end-of-year period, we have analysed the results achieved this year in the ADAPTED Research Group.

In a few figures, the activity can be summarised by publishing 19 papers in WoS journals and prestigious international conferences and obtaining 10 awards and 7 medals at national and international invention fairs where the ADAPTED team presented its work. Of these, 4 are gold medals, 2 are bronze, and 1 is silver.

Also, the ADAPTED Research Group of the Universitatea Tehnica din Cluj-Napoca implements, under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Eng. Clara IONESCU from Universiteit Gent, Belgium, the project "Centre of Excellence in Computer-Assisted Systems for Drug Dosing Control and Optimization" (Optimdrug Research Project). The project is one of the five won by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. It is funded by Romania's recovery and resilience plan with the support of the Romanian Ministry of Investment and European Projects (Ministerul Investitiilor si Proiectelor Europene).

All this would not be possible without the help of a team of 3 professors, 1 assoc. professor, 2 lecturers, 11 PhD students, and 5 master's students that form the ADAPTED Research Group. We are also grateful to the external collaborators: Prof. Dr. Eng. Radu A. Munteanu jr. and Prof. Dr. Eng. Math. Dan Doru MICU from the Energy Transition Research Center (Entrec), as well as to the TUCN Center for Technology and Knowledge Transfer, represented by Mrs. Eng. Liliana POP.

Yesterday we were honoured to receive the visit of Prof. Dr. ir. Clara IONESCU and Prof. dr. ir. Robin DE KEYSER from the Universiteit Gent, Belgium. The visit strengthened relations between the Adapted Research Group of the Universitatea Tehnica din Cluj-Napoca, part of the Entrec Research Center, and the DySC research team of .

Mrs. Prof. Dr. ir. Clara IONESCU, Consolidator, coordinates the research projects AMICAS, funded by the European Research Council, and OPTIMDRUG, funded by the Ministerul Investitiilor si Proiectelor Europene through the Planul Național de Redresare și Reziliență of Romania. Both projects are multidisciplinary and address the challenges of physiological processes during total anaesthesia.

During yesterday's meeting, our members had the opportunity to learn more about the OPTIMDRUG project.

We are honored that the Adapted Research Group is involved in the OPTIMDRUG project! We invite you to follow the OPTIMDRUG project page to keep up with the progress!
