It’s all about your perception of RISK

Alcohol is a proven carcinogen. We all know this. And yet many of us choose to drink. The more you drink, the greater your risk of getting 7 cancers is
For breast cancer the increase is your risk is small overall

The point of this video is to show you just how small the risk of getting breast cancer from a mammogram is.

If 100,000 women all have ONE mammogram it increased their risk of breast cancer by 0.001%

If 100,000 women have ALL their screening mammograms it increases their risk of breast cancer by 0.014%

When your lifetime risk of getting breast cancer is 14%, the cancer risk from a mammogram shouldn’t really be a reason not to have one.

I don’t care if you have one or not. It’s your choice. But make it for the right reasons. And if you drink alcohol you can’t really justify the mammogram cancer risk a a reason - and this is just my opinion

About last night 🧡

It was an absolute honour to attend the Ball as their first Patron

Such an emotional night remembering those we had lost and those who depend on every penny we raised to fund research and a cure and provide essential support

The event raised an over £100k - wow!

The incredible Rachel Condon (can’t find your Insta handle) sang for us after recovering from her own osteosarcoma treatment

I was lucky enough to have my silhouette cut by who is a true artist with a pair scissors

Now I need to plan my own big challenge to raise funds for Mum’s legacy fund as well as a knitting pattern I want to sell to raise even more money

Primary Bone Cancer kills.
Children, teenagers, parents young and old.
Know the signs.
Raise awareness.

I didn’t know that mum’s lump was a cancer.
She died 5 months after she was diagnosed.

Let that be a warning. Get new lumps and bumps checked. Remember Jess’s rule - if you’re seen by a GP 3x and they don’t know what’s wrong you can ask for a referral and a rethink
