' HAS ANYONE BEEN THROUGH PIP ? Absolutely bloody fuming.
I was re-assessed for PIP and they decided that after only one year I no longer quality for the enhanced mobility rate. I requested a mandatory reconsideration, and in the meantime they have come and taken my Motability car away. Yesterday I received a letter saying they that have turned me down again. I have not yet been able to send them the letter that my MS nurse has dictated but not yet been able to get typed (and may not for some weeks due to backlog and no appointed secretary at present).
The decision on my reconsideration was turned around in 7 days, not giving me the requisite 28 days to provide evidence to support my case.
I spoke to the DWP today and they confirmed this and said I still have 2 weeks to supply said evidence. They also said that my MS nurse could phone them to provide verbal evidence as long as it was backed up in writing.
Absolute angel that she is, she called them this afternoon. She tells me they were utterly unhelpful and the only advice they gave her was that I should go to tribunal with her support!
They cocked up, they didn't follow protocol, and now they're trying to force me through the stress of a tribunal.
My anxiety is through the roof, my fatigue is crushing, and I'm having all kinds of symptom flares. I'm frightened I'm going to have a relapse.
The benefit system is appalling and it's the weakest and most vulnerable of is that are suffering the most. PLEASE HELP ME ! '
