Beware of giving out your personal information to an unknown phone caller. With healthcare, the caller may switch your insurance plan with just a few basic pieces of information. The caller gets a commission, and you lose your current plan, and you lose your current insurance agent. Your data can also be used for fraud and abuse of insurance claims.

From Aflac website. The IRS clears the air on taxation of fixed-indemnity benefits.

If the premiums for the policy are paid by the individual on an after-tax basis, then the benefits received are not subject to tax.
If the premiums are paid on a pretax basis through employer contributions or employee pretax salary reduction through a cafeteria plan, then whether the benefits are taxable depends on the individual’s unreimbursed medical expenses. If the amount paid under the policy does not exceed the individual’s unreimbursed medical expenses, then the amount received is not includible in the employee’s income. However, if the amount received under the fixed-indemnity policy is more than the individual’s unreimbursed medical expenses, then the excess is taxable.

911 services are offered in Kaufman County, City of Seagoville and Hill County. CareFlite acts as a backup to the City of Cleburne and City of Burleson's 911 service. Inter-facility ground services are offered in all or portions of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, and Tarrant Counties (where not prohibited by law.)

Wheelchair service is offered to hospitals and medical facilities in Dallas, Collin, and Tarrant Counties.

CareFlite now operates seven helicopter bases at Texas Health Fort Worth Hospital, Methodist Dallas Medical Center, North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, Terrell Municipal Airport, Whitney, Burnet Municipal Airport, and the Granbury Regional Airport. A simple exercise like walking increases the size of your brain.

Having a sedentary lifestyle is basically a slow death sentence.

The groundbreaking study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Researchers found that adults who walked for 40 minutes, three times a week, for a year experienced growth in the hippocampus — a region of the brain crucial for spatial memory.

In contrast, those who only engaged in stretching and toning exercises saw their hippocampus shrink.

Neuroscientist Arthur Kramer, one of the study’s authors, explains that physical activity promotes the birth of new neurons, which in turn enhances memory function. This research supports the idea that our evolutionary need for movement is deeply tied to cognitive health, reinforcing the importance of an active lifestyle for maintaining mental sharpness.

The study further challenges the common belief that brain exercises like crossword puzzles are the key to cognitive longevity.

While intellectual engagement does play a role, researchers, including psychologist Margaret Gatz, emphasize that physical activity is a stronger predictor of brain health. Additionally, factors such as midlife obesity and diabetes have been linked to increased risks of cognitive decline.

The takeaway? It’s never too late to start moving.

Even previously sedentary individuals in their 60s and 80s showed remarkable brain benefits from walking. So, if you're looking for an easy yet powerful way to support brain health, simply lacing up your sneakers and going for a walk might be the smartest move you can make.
